Sleeping tips and tricks?

Does anyone have any good tips for getting to sleep at night? I can literally count to three and mrJules is flat out but it takes me hours (if at all) to get to sleep. Weirdly during the two weeks after AF I have regular sleeping patterns and about 5 days after ovulation I'm back to being unable to sleep again. I thought it might be nerves about AF coming as we've been ttc for 7 months now but it's has been like that since I stopped the pill and before we started trying for a baby so could it be hormone related?

I have tried lavender oils and warm milk and sometimes they help but other nights, like tonight, my mind just won't shut off. Feeling okay this month and haven't got any worries. It is just silly little thoughts and even things from 10 years ago start popping into my head as soon as I close my eyes.

Doesn't help that MrJules has a Man Cold at the moment  so is snuffling and snorting in his sleep every five minutes. Bless 'im.

Anyone else have trouble with sleep? Any tips greatly appreciated and I'll try em all. xxxx

Become a teacher!

Sorry, that was a bit tongue in cheek. I only say that because I'd have no problem going to sleep at 5 every evening. Seriously!

I seem to have exactly the same problem with sleeping. My brain jus won't seem to shut off. I also seem to be dreaming every night aswell at the moment which makes me feel like I don't get a good nights sleep. It doesn't help that my oh snores for england and has a habit of grinding his teeth!! Maybe reflexology would be a good idea or a bang on the head with a hammer.

Good luck!

Oh I have the exact same thing!!!!!!!!!!!
Reflexology does help a little - for that night!
I have also tried relaxation songs - from itunes you can download them for free - they help if he's snoring too as put earphones in and can't hear him!!!
I find that - and this will sound a bit like super nanny now!!!! I find that having a bath helps you wind down - and then a good book on the sofa for an hour or so - then feel sleepy - if still can't sleep I wake up the oh and jump on him - orgasams help induce sleep!

Thank you! Keep meaning to give reflexology a try so will give that a serious look once two week wait is over. Could be overtiredness Pae. I can be very sleepy at say 9pm but I fight it (like a five year old! lol) and an hour later I am wide awake. Thanks for the tips
