Helloo I've ventured back to join in on the new thread!

I will reintroduce myself, in case we have any new people since I last posted. I'm 23, and I have very irregular cycles. I was taking Agnus Castus to try and shorten cycles but I've stopped now as it didnt seem to be making any difference. My hubby is a bit older than me - hes 36 but had cancer when he was about 20 so had treatment for that which is likely to hinder us. We have been trying officially for about 4 and a half months (I cant remember what my ticker says exactly!), but we havent used protection for about 4 years now. Hubs has been referred for a motility test due to his past problems, but he thinks he is going to have it done after Christmas as his work is horrific until then. I've been having a little break from Baby Expert in the hope it will take my mind off TTC and make me more relaxed...it hasnt worked! I see babies everywhere lol.

How is everyone?

Betty fingers crossed the witch isnt on her way and you get a lovely BFP instead!

Apricot I'm sending you some nice sparkly baby dust .

Giz xx

Ooooo can I join please, I gave in and bought a CBFM this month (month 6 tic) and started using it yesterday morning as it turned up in time to catch cd5. Hoping it brings me lots of luck and a BFP.

Just to properly introduce myself, I am 28, hubby is 29 (30 next month as I keep reminding him), we got married this year and started trying to conceive a couple of months after the wedding. He has 2 children from previous relationships (1 is 12, 1 is 5) so he clearly able to have children.

Looking forward to sharing everyones good news as the BFP's come rolling in for us all (hopefully).

Good luck everyone x

Betty I so hope af doesn't arrive for you, a bfp would be a fab start to the new thread! Your temp is still way above your coverline too so fc it stays that way.

Apricotmoon lots of luck hun

Gizmoo lovely to see you back, I was satying away a bit as hubs said I was getting obsessed but it didn't help. There really seems to be babies everywhere! How have your cycles been? Did you go back to the gp in the end?

Now_a_Mrs welcome to the thread. I hope the cbfm works quickly for you

Af is still visiting me, can't wait for her to go now, shoudln't be long now. Did a nice big ttc order this morning, cbfm sticks (which I am sure have gone up in price) pre-seed and some cbd's as when/if we do finally fall pg it'll be nice to see it in words (and it was ??6.49 for 2). Just hope it all pays off soon. Might get some ov sticks too for good measure

Hi all,
Thanks for starting up a new thread Betty. I think you were right in that it did seem like a jinxed thread. It's about time we got a bfp on here. I'm glad to hear your AF still hasn't shown up. It certainly sounds promising. I've got my FC you will get you bfp. That would be a great start to a new thread.

Gizmoo, I really hope you get some answers soon. I hope you won't need to sit too much longer and that you get your bfp in the new year.

Now a mrs, welcome to the group. Everyone here is really lovely and Ive found it useful to be able to talk to other ladies using the cbfm. A little tip from me, not sure if you are aware but you can get the cbfm sticks a lot cheaper online than on the high street i(at least that's what I found anyway). I bought a pack of 20 in a high street pharmacy and they cost a whopping ??24. I looked on amazon the following month and got a pack of ??20 for just ??14 so it's worth shopping around! I'm using the duo fertility monitor too (I've become a little obsessed with this ttc lark) but it agrees to the cbfm anyway so I think this shows that the cbfm must be very accurate if it agrees to other types of monitor that you can buy.

Mrs M I have my FC you get a festive bfp in time for Christmas or the New Year. How great would that be!

Sending baby dust your way Apricot Moon

Well an update from me. I've just bought 2 of Zita Wests books. One of the I got second hand off Amazon. I got it for ??2.75 inc packing instead of ??14.99 bargain! I had a hysteroscopy a few months ago and have my follow up appointment with the consultant next week. I've just realised that DH and me have now been ttc for 9 months. I feel really fed up. One thing I'm going to ask my consultant about is my weight. I've always been underweight. I think I must have a fast metabolism. Im probably only 7 and a half stone and 5 ft 4. I always assumed that if I was eating ok it wouldn't be an issue but now I'm starting to wonder if that's what's been causing me problems. I occasionally get heart palpitations and anxiety too so wonder if I could have an over active thyroid. I never look particularly healthy. But I honestly eat what ever I want and never put weight on. Sorry I probably sound like a right hyperchondriact

Sorry for the long post xxx

Ah a new thread! Think the introducing thing is a good idea.... I'm 24 (25 next month) hubs is 32. We been TTC since Feb this year. Starting to get really sick of it now so been comfort eating which wont have helped and certainly isn't helping me at weight watchers!!
Hope this thread brings some happy BFPs - for me included!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I don't have a CBFM but thinking I might purchase one if it takes longer than 6 month TTC. We'll see, I'm onto cycle 3 (I'm counting the first one even though I maybe shouldn't with coming off the pill but still am!) lol!

I'm 30 (31 next month ) and hubby is 33. Got married in July and came off the pill end of Sep. Love this site as I get my fix from it when needed and not bore people too much with baby talk but it seems EVERYONE is falling right now around me so I hope it's catching Baby dust to all xx

Hi ladies.
Well no BFP here but thank you for all the well wishes. It was 18 days after my 2nd high that AF arrived yesterday. It has never ever been anything but 14 days before. Anyway I have now booked my HSG for Friday.Eeep.

Its lovely to see so many new ladies to the thread. The introductions are definitely a good plan. I'm 35 in a couple of weeks and DH is 33. We have been TTC since October 2010 and are undergoing fertility investigations. Getting very down hearted now but coming on here usually helps.

Mrs M I hope AF has finally gone.

Wifey I hope the books help. I have borrowed some. FC hey?

hello, I'm gonna join this thread too if it is as lucky as everyone says! Just finishing my 1st cycle with my cbfm but i have a feeling that it'll be a bfn as i know we missed ov (see my other thread - it's a long story). FC it'll happen on the next cycle.

Whoops, forgot to introduce myself, I'm 31 and DH is 33 next week been ttc since we got married in august and been together for 2 years. just spent the evening with my 3 nephews aged 4, 2 and 4 months - not helped with the broodiness at all (2 year old is sleeping over too!)

sending you all the finest quality baby dust xx

Hey ladies can I join in please..... I have had my cbfm for a while now and had two bfp's from it..... However in September this year I suffered my third mc and so yet again I have dusted off my cbfm and we are now trying for lucky number four!!!!!! I'm also under liverpools womens hospital this time so hoping what ever needs doing next time will be done.

So I got my first high yesterday on cd10 so we started bd last night..... Keeping fingers crossed for a normal 30 day cycle as last two after mc have been 40 days!!!

Good luck everyone x

Hi guys,

Have any of your hubbys tried Pregnacare conception for men?

My hubby was completely against it but after trying for 6 months with no bfp he agreed to give it a go.

A month later we got our positive test.

Could be coincidence but worth a go??

04/12/2011 at 09:08
I've just bought the pregnacare for me but hadn't thought about getting it for hubby, to be honest I didn't realise they did one for men! We have been trying for 6 months to so maybe I shall be investing in some for him

04/12/2011 at 12:59
Hi lounmark - Hubs has been against pregnacare for men but said if i'm not pg this month he will go and have a look at getting some tabs -- hoping we wont need them but we'll see... are you far along now?
04/12/2011 at 13:59
Hey all.

Not much new with me, I've been working all weekend (its almost Christmas, bring on the money...) and so have been soo tired. Deffo going to bed early tonight! I've also dyed my hair a dark brown that shines red in the light, which is very different to my natural colour lol.

I bought hubs some Asda's version of Pregnacare but he didnt like them, said they made him come out in spots so obviously altering his hormones (do men have hormones? Im so tired lol) too much.

Well I worked out today that it is three weeks today until Christmas. Best crack on with this shopping! Hope you are all ok lovelies, and FC for some big shiny BFP's this month! xxx

Evening Ladies

Brandnewwifey what a bargin on the book, well done you! Definately ask about your weight, all the books seem to suggest being underweight is just as bad as being overweight.

Bumblbee my hubs was a bit funny about taking any vits but I have persuaded him, just need to buy them now!

MrsS1981 I love my cbfm (well most of the time!!) so would definately recommend one.

Betty so sorry af arrived hun, big hugs. Its good you have managed to get your HSG booked in

KatRob1980 I hope your next cycle is the lucky one and that you had a fab time with your nephew.

3054 welcome to the thread hun, I really hope it is lucky number four for you. Fc your cycles get back to normal soon.

Gizmoo I've been working loads too, will be worth it though. I am hoping we managed to put some of the money away though. Your hair colour sounds lovely, what is your natural colour? I'm not going to tell my hubs he could get spotty from the tablets or he'd never take them

Af disappeared finally yesterday, yay! Unfortunately I was working late last night and hubs was tired after playing football so no bding yesterday. I did finally remember to reset my cbfm this morning which is always good. Got a couple of days off now so looking forward to getting some Christmas bits sorted

I just realised I didn't do an introduction before so I'll add mine. I am 24 and dh is 23, we have been together nearly five years (next month) and we have been married for just over one. I came off the pill in April and we have been what I would call properly ttc since the start of June.

Really hope we see some BFP's in time for Christmas!

xx

Oh I am so glad we have a new one - I completely lost track of the last one.

I am on day 13 still no peak but I think it's going to take awhile for my hormones to return to normal after my miscarriage.
Bumblebeeuk - Mr P didn't want to take tablets but I have got him taking multi-vits as we are on a 'health kick', maybe you could start off with something like that. Rather than make it specifically about fertility.
Sorry about all the AFs, hopefully they'll be your last AFs and this month we'll all have our BFP.

I am on an enforced duvet day by Mr P - it's been a bit of rollercoaster recently. The miscarriage and my awful family being their usual awful selves. I've taken the decision to cut them off for the time being, maybe permanently but I'm not sure yet. I know it's the right thing to do after all the years of them treating me like dirt but expecting me to drop everything when they decide they need help, but it's has been surprisingly painful. I am relieved but feel a bit shell-shocked. Mr P has made me spend today in bed, no housework, no rushing around, nothing. Just relaxing and watching rubbish on tv. Hopefully that will help me get my peak.

Hope everyone has a good day, and that as today is Monday, it's the beginning of a good week.

Good wishes to all,

PP X

Hi Ladies,

Hope you don't mind me joining you. I'm 24 DH is 28 and we have 2 little girls. DD1 is 2 and DD2 is 11 months. We are TTC our 3rd and final little bundle.

We were trying after we got married in July but had a break and have now started again! Today is CD1 for me. Since having DD2 my AF has been all over the shop, ranging from 35-44 days. I haven't temped before but will doing that this time too along with the CBFM.

Hope to have lots of lovely chats. Baby dust to us all

Morning Ladies

PP it sounds like Mr P is doing a good job of looking after you. Families are such hard work sometimes, we don't have contact with one side of hubs family due to their selfish antics. I hope you enjoy a restful day and get lots of cuddles from you kitties.

Sarah welcome to the thread. I am suppose to be temping but I seem to really be struggling to remember. I hope your cycles sort themselves out soon.

Day off for me yay! Wishing I could put the Christmas decorations up but hubs won't let me until Sunday boooooooo! I have a mountain of clean washing to sort through today, oh the joys!

xx
