Really Dissapointed - Trying for a baby

Hi Girls,

I know i'm not the only one in this situation but i've just had an unexpected couple of days away in norfolk with OH, which were lovely, and we obviously spoke of our excitement when it came to getting pregnant etc. i have had tons of symptoms and have been feeling really positive.

Anyway so got home today and thought i'd test because according to my ticker i was due to test today..well needless today i got a crappy BFN. I'm gutted and so upset. I'm not going to tell OH because he will be annoyed at himself for letting himself get excited.

It just does my head in...the amount of people that get pregnant by accident, and the amount on unwanted pregnancies..and then there's us..those who get poxy BFN's when there is nothing that they want more than a baby!

Grrr. Were off on holiday in less than a month and it really would have made it for me! I did use a cheapie ebay 'pregtest' stick - are these reliable do you think?

Its not over till af shows up! There may not be enough hcg yet for it to show up. Not sure about e bay tests. Maybe try a First Response? Good luck and babydust! x

Might just be too early hun.Lots of people don't get early bfps-you may be one of them. It is so disappointing to see that bfn isn't it- I'm now trying not to test until the end of my cycle, but the af cow was a day late last month, so I'd really got my hopes up! Everything crossed that af doesn't find you.xxx

I hope AF doesnt find you and as they say its not over until then!

I think we all have up and down days when ttc but when you get your BFP it will all have been worth it x

As everyone else said its not over till af shows. When i had my BFP in may i was late but 3/4 days before getting a very faint line so theres still hope. As for the ebay ones my friend had a pos on one at christmas and she is now 38 weeks.

I know exactly what you mean. I find it so sad that so many young girls get pregnant when they dont want to be and we are all here desperate for our BFP and it seems to take forever. I work with people with drug problems and some of them dont look after themselves properly and pump all sorts of poison into their bodies but they still manage to get pregnant, its madness! :\(

Anyway positive thoughts.....I hope AF doesnt arrive for you this month and if she does good luck for next month :\) x

Its not over till af shows! I was about 2 days late when i tested and only got very faint lines on my cheapy tests, went and did a FR and 2 CBD which were both bold positives so dont give up hope! xx

please dont be disheartened by the BFN. Your af has not shown up and therefore you are still in the game. if i am right in thinking this is your first month? was you on the pill? it may be that your cycle is slightly longer than you thought, so may get your BFP in next few days! Keep your chin up hun.

i know, i know - i shouldn't be so worked up..it is only month 1..and yes i was on the pill so haven't even had a real period since coming off therefore i really have no right to moan just yet.

Just feel really sad...i feel so emotional lately. It's not even 10 o clock yet and i've already cried at work today =( I hate everything at the moment! Sorry girls! lol x

Hi Vintage Rose.

Sorry about your BFN! I remember feeling the exact same month one, I thought I was having all these symptoms but it was just OV and then AF coming.

I'd told myself after 12 years on the pill I'd be happy if I got a BFP by month 12, but as soon as it clicked into my head that we were TTC that was it, I wanted it NOW!

It's not an easy time but try to be patient (easier said than done I know)!! Your body needs to settle down again after being on the pill, it'll happen when the time is right.

I'm in the middle of month 3 right now and I've weirdly found it easier as the months have passed, as I've read up more and got a bit more realistic. Some days are easier than others but I think it's important to enjoy the process..... ;\)

Well girls - af finally showed this morning. i'm gutted, but was expecting it. It is only my first realy period since coming off the pill - so i guess its a good thing really. so here i go, month 2 of trying to conceive!

Sorry your af showed its really disappointing isn't it? I think sometimes the first month can be really disappointing. you've spent all that time trying not to get pg, worrying when you've missed a pill or your period is a couple of days late so when you start trying you immediately think it'll happen straight away and when it doesn't its disappointing. It took me 6 months with the first one and like louloubelle says, after the first month you realise it might not happen straight away and you relax a bit more. Good luck for next month hun xx

sorry to hear she found you. the first couple of days are always the worst but before you know it AF will have gone and it will be time to BD again soon. hope september is your month
