I would love a big family, I love reading some of the topics on 'Large Families'. I want a full football team.
How many do you think you can see yourself having? I already have my daughter, but I would love 3 more to make a nice even number.

Hello DaisyMay,
Welcome to BE and congratulations on your wedding. Are you actively ttc now then, or waiting for a bit? Or just going with the flow? I turn 30 this year too and DH turns 37, so we want to get going. Mind you, I have no option in it - my body clock is demanding that I get on with it! lol.

There's been a few Jeremy Kyle posts on here, which are along the lines of your teenager comment. It seems those that deperately want it the most find it the hardest! haha.

My hubby has no idea of the extent of my obsession. So it's lovely to come on here

Best of luck ttc. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.

Hi TB

I wouldn't say we're actively TTC, hubby is still feeling a bit unsure about giving up our 'freedom' etc. I'm happy to just go with the flow for now, particularly with it being so soon after the wedding. But I know what you mean, my body is getting very impatient and demanding when it comes to babies and broodiness!

What about you, are you trying?

Sorry TB, just re-read your posts. Hope all works out OK health wise!

Hi DaisyMay!

My hubby is just as broody as i am but he still laughs at me for coming on here!! Especially when i tell him off for getting too excited about it all as that makes it even harder to wait! I just tell him it's research!!

Oh and by the way, yes we have names picked out already!! x
16/04/2009 at 10:40
I have my names picked out (although I hold my breath with fear everytime someone announces what they're calling their baby lol so far only had one name I liked "pinched" which was Katherine. Now looking at Jack for a boy and Grace for a girl- sounds mental as not even TTC yet lol lol xx

Ours are Thomas and Evie - hubby and i talk about them all the time as if they are already a part of the family!

Only thing we're not sure of is whether Thomas's middle name will be George (after his grandad) or Evan, and whether Evie May will be lengthened to Evelyn! x

ok we're as officially barmy lol I keep saying to h2b what if we never have a boy/girl.....? obviously a healthy baby is the most important thing and such a blessing but I always envisioned one of each. I love Evie but my h2b not keen! I also like Roxy but that;s another story lol. I really like the traditional english names like Thomas George and Jack etc x

I don't know how I am going to be patient, I'd love to announce the pregnancy at the wedding if I was maybe 12 weeks or so on, but I don't think oh would like that, plus I might not fit into my dress!!

We are mad xx

16/04/2009 at 11:15

Hi everyone, this is my first post, lurking around, so I am glad to see that so many people are in the same position as us in that they are not actually trying but lurking! lol

We are looking to start TTC in September, so not sure when to come off the pill. I guess as a lot of people have said, everyone is different. It will be good getting to know eveyone along the way.

Hey girls/lurkers,
Just reading your posts here. I'm so glad I found this website (think someone mentioned it on yayw) I'm so obsessed ts scary! I haven't told family & friends I'm a pre TTCer and don't want to be going on and on to OH in case i put him off the idea! He loves the practising tho, or Baby Dancing if I use the correct term! The abbreviations are taking me ages to learn. Roll on August !!

has anyone decided if when they get lucky they'll find out in advance if its pink/blue? My h2b says no way no way so i guess that's a no for us (apparently his views get taken into consideration- the cheek lol) think it'll be more exciting that way though- most of our friends have known and picked names so when we've heard the babies have been born there's no real surprises left- think I'd find out for second/future pregnancies though just to save going back to neutral unless absolutely necessary!!

I've been doing some serious pram/travel system research recently as my car is a peugeout 107 with the smallest ever boot (h2b works within walking distance so share the little one) so I know it'll take careful consideration (really dont wanna change the car unless necessay and we've got a 3 year hp deal thats only 6 months in)

sorry lol more ramblings of a mad woman x

omg i could scream - just lost a massive post coz internet went down
here's roughly what i was going to say:

My hubby has no idea of the extent of my obsession.
TB me too i thought i was doing a pretty good job of hiding the baby-obsession but nearly gave the game away when hubby overheard me nattering incessantly with my sister about maternity hospitals and birth centers

to the ladies planning their weddings: i actually went back on the pill when we started wedding planning coz i didn't want the stress of unpredictable periods (or AF showing up unanounced at the wedding!)

then again in light of some of the posts on here i'm thinking of coming off the pill now rather than sept! but dont think hubby will be impressed at having to use condoms again

my other worry is hubby smoking - i've heard it can cause asthma in the baby (via the sperm) - and hubby himself is badly asthmatic (stupid i know) so there's already a risk
thing is that hubby is a nightmare when trying to quit and so i doubt there'd be much BDing if he was quitting - adding to the stress of TTC
dont really know how or when to broach the subject :\?

Hello mrs harvey and toria - and welcome to the site!! It's nice that we can all help eachother out and will be around for eachother when the time comes to TTC!

Mrs Raf - thats a tough one about yr hubby smoking. I can understand yr concerns, as much for your hubbys health as for that of your future children. But if i'm being honest i tend not to worry too much about all those 'research shows' stats, the way i look at it it all this info wasn't around when our parents were TTC and it never did us any harm!! And thats coming from a non-smoker!! x
