Hello!!!

I am very new on here so please bear with me! I joined a few days ago and have been hovering since debating on whether I count as a ttc or not, lol

I got married last month and since returning from honeymoon hubby and I have decided now is the time to come off my pill yasmin. I started to resent taking it and started to tell myself it was poison lol.
I have started taking folic acid as hovering on here for just under a month informed me that was a good thing. So I have been taking fa for 2 weeks now and came off my pill officially on 4th sept. So my (tmi) withdrawal bleed has finished and I am now starting to get to know my body again after 10yrs.
I understand it can take a while and I dont expect miracles to fall pg this month, but I am so broody I cant help but hope i ll be a minority! lol

anyway thats me and so I guess we are "seeing what happens"

I have a question tho? does the withdrawal bleed count as a proper AF? If so, I would be CD11 (that is if the first proper AF day is cd1?) and I have ewcm today... is this real or fake? and without knowing a proper idea of how many days in my cycle is it even worth knowing this yet?

so excited to be posting on here!! cannot believe it.. it is making me BD everyday!!! practicing of course! lol

Hiya Hun, welcome to BE!
I am no expert as only joined recently and similar to you, stopped taking me pill a few weeks ago after getting married in August. I have had my withdrawal bleed and am waiting to see what happens now, not sure I like not knowing when AF is coming!!
Not sure that a withdrawal bleed counts as a 'real' bleed but am sure one of the lovely, knowledgeable ladies on here will help us!

hi MrsH!! its so exciting isnt it but this feels like the days are going so slow! i just want to get on with it and establish a pattern! Congratulations about the wedding, I was an 8th august bride. what day was yours?
totally agree with the af too, really concerned as it will be typical for me to af at the worst possible inconvenient moment! good luck, it will be good to know how we get on!

Good luck hun, keep in touch, would love to know how your getting on xxxx

hi sally!! its so nice to know there are other wanna be mums out there!! so good to know you have just come off Yasmin too. I have heard horrific things about coming off it but i had no problems at all on it. it did the job!lol but i am having a few little break out spots...annoying! normally i get about one big spot a month lets be impatient together!!
I am going to also buy things once i find out i am though. Im not so much with the tempting fate i think providing I do fall pg first! theres a baby event at asda at the mo and i really want to buy cheap things lol!!its so annoying i hope there is another one at the right time!

any other ladies who can help with any advice about the withdrawal question after the pill?

Hello!
Can I join in too ? I'm also an August bride and also come off Yasmin 2 weeks ago.
Is anybody having any side effects yet? I'm feeling a bit like i've got pmt - craving sweet things and getting a bit tearful and stroppy. Nothing too bad yet though...
Good luck everyone! XX

hi londonfields!! i came off exactly 3 weeks ago. I notice an increase in BD!! i am sure this was a pill thing rather than broodiness as its slowed down a little bit now but about 3 days after stopping till about 2 days ago i was really really bad, i kept jumping on my hubby so much it worried him! I am generally feeling less tired and more motivated to do things but the biggest difference for me is I suffer from IBS and I have noticed a huge change with that, I have hardly had any symptoms!
I did feel teary last night and I did think hormones for a moment. I recon they are everywhere at the moment. my hubby keeps blaming silly things for me coming off the pill (like if the dinner burns) as everything i say is "do u think its the pill" lol
Good luck to you also!! xx

Hey and welcome to all you newbies! There is usually someone on here that will know the answer to most questions so fill your boots! My opinion on the withdrawal bleed is that it is a bit of a manufactured AF. I would be inclined to just wait till the next one and then start counting from CD1. You might find that your cycles are a bit irregular at first or, (like mine) they settle into a regular pattern right away. I think you'll get a better picture of your cycle if you discount this first one. That's just my opinion, it will be interesting to see what the other ladies think.

Sending heaps of baby dust to you all... how exciting! xxx

Hi Ladies

I came off Yasmin in January , my first cycle was 29 days , then 31 , then it settled into 26/28 days - i didnt have any problems apart from bad skin (but then that was the reason for being on yasmin in the first place!!!) .
Ive not been posting much as i recently suffered an early MC - but am back into the swing of things now.

To answer your AF question i would say yes you can treat your withdrawal bleed as an af as ive seen alot of ladies fall pg the first month off of the pill !!
good luck ladies xxx

welcome to the forum ladies

i came off the pill finally at the end of july and am now on my 2nd cycle (was in the planning forum since april though!)

i counted WB as cd1 simply to give me a starting point - some girls go back to regular cycles immediately, some dont. mine was 35days so i'm hoping it's a bit shorter this month

if you do count it as cd1 then dont be disappointed/excited if you're still waiting for af on cd31 or later - might just take a while to kickstart things

good luck

Hi Caza!

I know what you mean about being laid back - how do they manage it? I'm feeling like I've got a one track mind! Think I'm scaring my husband as well...last night he was really feeling the pressure and couldn't'make it to the finishing line
But that's another post....

Good luck to everybody!

oh londonfields, totally understand...we had a few probs this weekend, my hubby distant with me and turned down the BD i knew there was something wrong! he said that after so many years it felt weird to have upsi. he said he felt scared for some reason, after a chat about other issues such as we we're going to move house too and now we are not he feels so much better! he didnt want to move house and have a baby all at once. We realised we dont actually want to move yet and so baby comes first and he is feeling much more relaxed and 100% ready! he said he needed a proper plan and not to just "see what happens" and plan to move too. so i guess we are properly trying now but by seeing what happens!!? lol does that make sense!!
