Hello and welcome steph and gizmoouk, what cd are you both on?
mrslennon- i would def request blood tests b4 going back on the pill. how is the 2ww going? when are you going to test?
sah83- any sign of ov yet?
update from me- dh had his SA yesterday and we have our hospital appointment on thursday afternoon. cd 30 and still no +opk but had ewcm since friday, starting to think i am not going to ov this month. i only have 2 more days of opk left so if no + by then im not going to buy any more this cycle x
big congratulations mrslennon, really happy for you Sorry to sound stupid but what did you mean what cd am i on? I'm off to the dr's this week, hope they send me for a scan to see if i have cyts on my ov's. Af is relly heave, lasts for 8-12 days and is really painful but all theyve done is swobs which came back clear. me and my oh really want a baby but i feel bad that i still cant give him one Why do dr's never listen to us?
i'm on cd12 but i never know now where af is due. im going to town tomorrow with my oh so we gonna look around for the ov sticks. im seeing a female doctor this time so with any luck she'll be more understanding than the male one i seen and send me for the scan. hope you get your bfp soon x
Thanks so much ladies!i got a heap of cheap ov sticks on ebay (with some preg tests too (hpt)) and i did get at least one +ve but i they dont really work with me, i end up more confused. the one thing i will tell EVERYone ttc is that temping really saved my sanity, no more thinking i was preg when i haven't even ov'd and i really got to know my body. it takes some getting used to but if you take the time to sit down and read all the info and then look at some other users charts it really does start to sink in.steph- you might have mentioned it already but i cant quite remember, how long have you been trying?? also that bleed doesn't sound to healthy to me. i'm surprised your doc hasn't looked further into it. I must say i do love have a female doctor as when you say i get crazy bad af pain, she will actually know what you mean. Have you been sent for any bloods?? I've recently been looking at acupuncture and apparently they can really help with regulating cycles and hormones imbalances etc. its not cheap but at least its doing something and i figured i could go without some new clothes it it was going to help me have a baby. plus they wouldnt fit me for long anyway. i did go to one session this week not knowing i was preg already and she looked at my temping charts and said she would have sent me away to do a cycle of charting anyway. she also asked me all of these questions, 12 pages of them, about length of cycles and bleeding, do i bruise easy, do i sleep well, etc etc there were so many. i'm going to keep going in the hope that she can help keep this one sticky and keep me healthy as she think my iron stores might be lowmummy- the only thing we did differently was made sure we bd'd every second day (sometimes every third cuz of work etc) and it might sound strange but i was saying sort of positive affirmations every few days like "my body is getting ready to release a healthy new egg, ready for those spermies" "my uterus is a healthy, nutritious, safe environment for our little fertilized egg"... i figured it couldnt hurt and was a bit of meditation for me. other than that i really did nothing differant and thought it wouldn't be this cycle as i really didn't think I had any sysmptoms like sore breasts or nausea, although its still early days
actually one other thing i did different was almost completely cut out caffine and soy once I'd ov'dcaffine was one thing i never quite eliminated last preg, not that i have much, but i just felt like why not and apparently soy is a mild natural contraceptive. who knows, it might have helped
Congratulations MrsLennon! sticky baby dust for you xxx
I'm on about day 84 of my current cycle I think. Im on holiday in a couple of weeks and if nothing by then I am going to call and see if they can do routine bloods.
Just a short post from me today - I passed my driving test this afternoon so I am sooo happy! Totally over the moon! So much weight off my mind hopefully that and the holiday will reuslt in a stress free BFP xxx
gizmoo congratulations on passing your driving test.
mrslennon i have ordered a thermometer so i can start temping next cycle. have you got any tips for temping, do you know any good websites to input my temps into?
also ordered some cheap ov tests, i want to test twice daily what is the best times to do this? can i use fmu?
had our hospital appt today, everything went ok. i just had some blood tests done (13 little tubes!!!!) got to go back in 9 weeks for the results x
sah- news is sinking in but as af is actually due today im worrying it will come and it will be a chem preg. but i have a doctors appt this arvo to confirm and have bloods etcgizmoo- thanks so much! great new on the driving test!mummy- ooo hope you didnt feel faint after your bloods!everything ive reads says that afternoon is the best time to do opk's but i just happend to do fmu and that was the only time i got +ves. i did fmu and 5pm ish or when ever i got home from workas for charting fertilityfriend.com in fabulous! if you click on my ticker it should link to they're site. my timps for temping are leave your thermometre on your bedside table and test the moment you wake in the morning (before you get up or turn a light on etc.) and if you miss a few on test a little early or late, dont stress! it wont change the outcome your chart may just be a little trickier to read. Also, read all of the emails they send you at the start. they teach you everything you need to know about charting
glad i went to see a female doctor today, she gave me 3 months werth of pregaday on prescription and has sent me for bloods and a scan. she said i get my oh to see his doctor to check his swimmers. there's been so many babys born this week in my life and im realy happy for th familys but i keep asking when its our turn. i dont mean to sound selfish as ive got to from a previus relationship but me and my oh want one together to compleat our family and make it one. guess i have to wait and see what all these test's show up. x
mrslennon hope your feeling more relaxed now your af date has passed, did your doc give you an edd? i have joined fertility friend website and its fab. cant wait for af so i can start temping, might give it a go once my thermomter arrives to get some practice.
steph you dont sound selfish at all, i have 2dd's and i still long for another. do you have an appointment for your scan and bloods yet?
sah83 how are you getting on? have you ovulated yet?
going by cm i think im about 6dpo but didnt get a + opk so dont think i ov this cycle. af is due next sat so will have to just wait and see lol x
hi ladies, just want to offer a positive story - my cycles have always been long and irregular when off the pill, 5-8 weekly, and i never knew when i ovulated. as soon as i came off the pill i started with cbfm as felt that leaving it to chance would take ages.
In our 6 months ttc, i ovulated 3 times and managed to catch each time which in itself was a relief, just knowing we were doing all the right things. The time we conceived my cycle was longer than 6 weeks (which cbfm doesnt work for) and after the cbfm had run out for the month, i carried on with opks and caught the ovulation time shortly after.
technically speaking, then the cbfm wasnt the reason i got pg but im sure it could well have been on another cycle - it was fab having that guidance. did spend a lot on these products but our lovely 8 month old son is worth all of it, and im sure we'd have been ttc at least twice as long without them.
Also, the month i conceived had started on agnus castus - although i think this was coincidence as it was my longest cycle yet and hadnt had time to kick in probably x
