Hi mrslennon
Thanks, i will have a look for a thermometor this afternoon! They have done bloods for pcos and it came back clear, and I had to have an internal ultrasound a couple of weeks and they said it all looks normal as well. My doctor was really good, he referred me straight away and no messing. The hospital consultant organised for the ultrasound and sent the letter about the bloods, and I rang to give them hubby's details and to make sure that if I didnt have the tests within a certain space of time I would get taken off the books so to speak. She said if in a couple of months I havent been able to have the tests to ring back and she will speak to the doctor and see if we can just do normal tests to have some on file. I was puzzled about 21 day bloods as well, because its not going to show anything for me, unless im having like a 60 day LP. Doctors, eh?
I wasnt referred at the time of my super long cycle, and I used to be regular until I went on the pill. I came off, it never settled down and about 140 days into my 264 day one I went to the doctor (a different GP), they did a pg test that came back negative and said it must just be my weight and hormones. All hormone tests have come back clear every time. I'm hoping they might give me some sort of medication to induce my cycles more regularly but when I asked my first doctor about it, she said the only thing they can give me to regulate it is the pill, which caused the problem in the first place! Argh. I get so jealous of people with 28 day cycles lol, the doctor kindly pointed out that with an average cycle of 90-110 days, we only have 1 chance every 3-4 months rather than 12 chances a year
. Hahaha. Just what I needed to cheer me up.
I hope the gynae gives you another option, like blood tests! lol. I wouldnt be too pleased if they tried to put me on the pill again either. How long have you been trying? Is the July deadline for a reason or just the goal you have set? I did have a bit of a panic in Feb as if we had fallen that month I would have been driving from east England to Perth in Scotland and a tour round Scotland for my cousins wedding about a week before my due date! However, that was only a guesstimation as I cant pinpoint ov

It's not the urge to jump. It's deeper than that...it's the urge to fall.
