Hi Carioke, I do not think 40 is too old! It has been 9 months now, got some bloods in the next few weeks, it would be lovely to not need them because I am already pg! How long have you been ttc? I am ov now, poor hubby was so tired last night but managed to persuade him lol!

Joey139- same as you about 9 months, came off the pill last sept, was so excited when first started but getting fed up now but went to docs and they just said come back after a year of trying! 

I've told 1 person we're trying because I just wanted to tell someone but family don't even know, 2 wks ago my Mum said she really thought I would have another one and was dying to say "we are trying" but I didn't. I was hopeing for it to be a lovely surprise for them!! 

I really hope this is our month as been invited to a hen do and don't want to commit to anything just in case (it would be a boozy weekend!!)

I know what you mean, at first it is easy to be excited every month, I was a compulsive early tester but not anymore sick of seeing a BFN. I am sorry to hear your gp was not very helpful. Do you know that you def ov? or use opk's? I think that is what the bloods will show next week.

I went to see my friends baby on Monday and she was gorgeous only 2 days old! very very very broody now! I hate the 2ww we have next week off work so hopefully it will distract me : )

I have used ov sticks and got lines around cd 17 and I have ewcm at that time so I'm assuming that means I am??!!  

I bet you were broody joey after holding the baby!!

my Mum had my sister at 41 so I know it's possible but I still worry!

Hi Jo, I'm ok ta, been feeling a bit down as we hit the year mark but I have dusted myself off today. Waiting on some test results so hopefully can go get them soon. Did you have bloods at the start of your cycle and then around cd21? They all check hormone levels, the first ones check thyroid function too. The second is more hormone levels which should indicate ov.

Carioke no real symptoms, was hoping lack of symptoms was something but no. I was weepy this morning and its spot on timing wise for pms boooooo! I had to wait until the year mark for tests, to be fair waiting for the results is horrid especially for hubs.

Hushpuppy go chat to your doc if you're worried, hopefully they can offer advice.

Well I am pretty certain I am ov today or tomorrow so am pretty much on the 2ww - well the 16 day wait cos my luteal phase is normally 16 days!  Only first month tho like wantingbaby so not expecting much!

Can I join you? I want a June BFP too! Finally got a positive OPK yesterday (CD41). We BD'd CD37 CD38, CD40, CD41 and will try tomorrow and friday (if we're not too worn out!) Really hope we've done it this time  - it's soul destroying having to wait 40 odd days before I ov again.

Snugglenush 16 day lp! I bet you test early  Mine varies between 11 and 12 and has been 10 once even hough its not suppose to change! I'm sure its not a good thing.

Littlemomma86 sounds like you ave done all you can to cover ov, I'm with snugglenush, hope you've done it this time so you don't have to wait all that time again.

Couldn't resist and tested this morning, bfn, was expecting it though lol. Maybe it'll magically change tomorrow

Well I ov'd early and am now on 1dpo! I have 16 day luteal phase though so I am in the 16 day wait lol!

Is only the first month tho so I don't have huge expectations!

Argh in my ttc eagerness i've worked out ov completely wrong!! I am ov today. DTD 4 days ago . . . .am trying for a girl just hope that is close enough. Argh wish I had bought ov sticks this month!! I wish I coud just ttc and not think about it lol!!!

Snugglenush I didn't use ov sticks or temp this month and I'm going mad lol. Just went off cm but its not helped me relax so going all out next cycle! From what I've read 4 days is perfect in theory, fc for you x

Tigerlily - I am 'trying' to dtd at least a few days before OV - which is very difficult a it goes completely against what I did last time! Also I am not allowed to orgasm!! VERY VERY difficult lol!! And I have slipped once by accident . Also lots of dairy caffeine and processed food!

I am not expecting it to work - and there is alot more I could do but I am not overly bothered if I get boy or girl, hubby was the one who was keen on trying for a girl. HOWEVER, we are only giving it a few months and if we don't get a bfp we will go back to doing to what we did last time!!

Already worried we've not dtd enough this month as still getting a little ewcm and on cd20, we last dtd cd17!! like you snugglenush; wondering if dtd close enough to ov.
