Job hunting when ttc

Hi everyone!

Looking for your opinion. Just now I work as a nursery nurse and have been in the same nursery for just under 5 years. I do enjoy it but for a while now I have been thinking about leaving to do another job and nannying has been something I quite fancy doing. When deciding that we would start ttc I thought that I would stay at the nursery until I went on maternity leave then I would look for a nanny job where I could take my baby with me. The problem is that ttc is taking way longer than I thought it would and I dont know whether to look for a new job at the same time but then I'm not sure how maternity pay would work out. Its especially hard because there is a lot more money in the nanny jobs than at the nursery which we could really do with but I also wouldn't want to find out I'm pregnant just as starting a new job.

Is anyone else looking for a new job whilst ttc??

Hey, I have just started a new job in the last 3 weeks. We have been TTC for 2 and a half years and I started Clomid about 2 weeks before i started my new job. The way i see it is women fall pregnant all the time and a lot of them are not even TTC. I dont see the point in putting things like this off because u never know how long it will take to get ur BFP. With maternity pay as long as you are with the company for 6 months then you qualify for it. I looked into this before starting my new job aswell to make sure i would get maternity pay. Here is a website that will give u more info -

Gook luck what ever you choose to do!
