hi i asked same question earlier i was told depending on what test your using best time is day your af due or 4 days after tho you can get that 6 day b4 af due test the 1st response 1

I usually wait until my period is late, though I have had a couple of cycles where I have been around a week late and tested every single day because I can't help myself!

Hiya - with FR you can test 6 days early but there is only about 50% chance of BFP showing. It goes up to 98% 1 day early. 4 days late is the best time to test as the HCG hormone doubles every day and is likely to show by then - but not always! If you test and get BFN then if no af you should test around every 4 days to give the HCG a chance to rise as some people's develops slower than others!

CBD is the most foolproof test but isn't as strong as FR

it does depend on what test you have, and make sure you use FMU.

however the longer you leave it the better i say. saves any disappointment! when i got my BFP i tested early and got BFN and was gutted. have made the decision i'm only going to test when AF is due/late if i get to test again

how much are FR tests?
I have always agreed with u all and always wait til AF due but, my AF is due always on time so if I miss it a day then I'm almost positive i'd be pregnant.. so anyway.. we'll see. I think I will just forget about it and wait and see what happens, af isnt due until 12th, but ov is over so just like kinda twiddling my thumbs lol. xx

I didn't get my BFP until AF was a week late! I tested on the day my period was due and got a BFN. So if you do get a BFN test again. I used Asda's preg test which is suppose to show 10 days after conception. They are ??1 for a box and you get 2 tests in a box so you can test the day AF is due and 1 week later. They are the tests where you have to wee in a pot and dip the stick in for 10 seconds. I definately recommend them.

well i got my bfp at 8dpo but that quite unusual, and on a CBD in middle of afternoon. As mentioned before the statistics show very few people get a bfp that early.
Its usually best to wait til day AF is due or even after, but if you feel need to test like i did (too damn impatient) then you can use the cheaper tests i did 1st test with asda one i think(the cheap pound ones you get behind pharmacy counter, not their own make) and it came up positive right away. Then did CBD that afternoon.
Good luck but hold on if you can because theres nothing more crushing than a bfn when you think you may be pg. Babydust

i didnt know u cud get pregnancy tests from behind th counter in asda i walwyas looked in the aisle n they are always sold out - once i walked ages to get one from anothe shop - didnt think about asking at the chemist part! lol silly me. With my first preg i got bfp jus after a week aver ov

strange really but doctors told me, went in with water infection

with my lo i tested 6 days before my period and got a very strong positive but he was born a week early so i think i maybe miscalculated my dates.
my opinion is, as soon as af is late you should get a bfp, although there are alot of people who have to wait longer, so i agree with waiting til your af is at least 4 days late xx

I'm also one of the lucky ones and got my bfp dpo. I used a tesco's own cheapy test around 3pm and also got a bfp on a CBD later at about 6pm. It was a strong line on the tesco test too.

I'd recommend testing as close to when af is due as possible. I tested very early because I was being sick and having been pregnant before I just knew I was, otherwise I would've waited a bit longer.
