Hi Ladies, yep you read it right it is now part 15. We've had highs and we've had lows during this thread and the chance of us squeezing in some festive BFP's is getting smaller so we need a last big push to get some sticky BFP's before the end of the festivities.

So if you've got bucket loads of PMA or needs a shoulder to cry on please join in!

Our list of BFP's is below, there have been others but they sadly ended so we wish all the ladies who lost their beans lots of love and luck over the coming months.

Cannons of babydust to everyone!!!

Thanks mrs AD. Hoepfully the BFP's wil lcatch up this time!

My job is a job, and thats all it is, quite boring most of the time. i work for hubs family though, so even a lottery win wouldn't get me out of it, only babies. So come on BFP!

You better watch out, you better not cry....la la la...I will be singing that all evening now!

COME ON LITTLE CHRISTMAS BABIES!

Following on from other thread...

Def think we should keep the thread going even when we are big bloated pregnant women!

I am going on a Christmas night out with them on 17th Dec so if we have managed it by then they would guess in a second if I didn't drink!!

Loopy - like looby my job is just a job, I dont love it but dont hate it either. Once you get your BFP you can count down the days till you're outta there!!

this a really stupid question since I have a big downer on this month before its even really begun (and AF has left), but how long before you EDD does maternity leave usually start given no complications?

just wondering if it'd start before my contract ends

I love my industry but my job is stressful at the moment, and I'd like to bugger off and do a PhD! Dr Squeezed!

Started back on OPK today as I have 8 of them and today is CD11 of a 30.5 day cycle (that .5 really exists!). Negative today obviously. Last month I only started OPK on CD18 and had a massive positive but the LH surge can continue a bit beyond ovulation so whether I ov'd on 16, 17, 18 or 19 I'm not sure! Hopefully this month will be more successful. I figured by starting today I could at least track the change in line strength so if no bfp this month I know better what to expect at least.

I'd love a bfp before my birthday though, which is 17th Dec, but still don't want a due date 4 days before being a maid of honour, so there's some conflict here!

Thanks ladies, just worried I'd come across like a complete mentalist!

Am worried about how things will be with our niece - it's going to be one hell of an awkward situation!

I said I wasn't SS but... am finding that I sort of am now. Don't seem to be able to help myself although I don't really have any 'symptoms' apart from a weird on/off stretchy feeling in my tummy. I would think it was because I'd put weight on - but I seem to have lost a little weight!

Flo - Prague is lovely. I really want to go to Florence, but hubby went with an ex on a flying visit and didn't like it... but I may convince him yet. Perhaps Italy could be our holiday... if I can fly!

Failing that there are loads of places in the UK that I've never been to!

Only a couple of friends know we're trying and it's alien to one of them (she only wants dogs, but says she will learn to love my children) so I have no one to talk to either - so this place is a godsend!

Have probably missed something again now as I have had this open on the bottom of the screen for an hour as one of my bosses came back in and sits behind me! So sorry if I seem to be ignoring anything - I will catch up!

Am now going to read everything I missed!

Ditto jen - I was a constipated ovulator!! I love your date nights - i think me and hubby should start doing them.

clalee - it depends on you and your job. Some ppl work right up to a few days before their due date other use holiday and things and leave around 6 weeks before their due date.

Squeezed - that really is a conflict. When my sister got married her husbands sister was bridesmaid she was 38 weeks pregnant and had her last fitting a week before the wedding, then on the morning of the wedding we were just putting our dresses on and her zip burst open, my aunty had to come round and sew her in to her dress with invisible cotton - you couldnt tell but her poor hubby had to rip er dress off her at the end of the night, he said it wouldve been kinky had she not been ready to drop!!

Blimey! I think I'd go for an empire line and hope my boobs don't grow too monstrous. She's having a 50s theme and her twin is making the dresses, so I'm sure we could come up with something between us that fits the theme and a bump. She's perfectly happy that we're ttc, and said she'd have me waddling down the aisle with her no matter how fat I am! I'd definitely not plan to miss it, pregnant or not - there is always another hospital nearby, right?!

squeezed a phd is stressful too, but then I had unhelpful supervisors, I'm glad I did it though so I'm not trying to put you off, I hadn't realised before I started I'd spend quite so many days feeling like an idiot wondering what on earth I was playing at thinking I could possibly do a phd. I didn't give n though thanks to hubby and am now a dr

cheers Mrs Ad, if I'm lucky then its count down to end of contract (July). Though I'll have to decide what to do if I get a new job I wish I could garantee a BFP so I didn't need to bother looking

actually do you reckon you can request to be induced just to fit in with wedding plans?? Or would you just have to eat loads of curry a week before?

I'm bored of the 2ww, wish it was a 2 day wait then you'd know and it would be over! I don't even know if I ov'd so don't know why i'm moaning about the wait - after mc it could be a loooooooooooong wait!!

Clalee I've no doubt a phd is really stressful, but I think it's just a different type of stress that the people I'm dealing with at work. Glad your oh was supportive so you could get through it. I'd just like to spend a few years solid on research so I can get really stuck in to something. It's really only academics and museum staff in archaeology who get to do a lot of research, most jobs are poorly paid excavation staff or data management and community based stuff, which can be great but it's not the same.
