I'll have a re-read of the last page of the last thread to catch up.

morning all HP was great last night, though seeing it on such a big screen at the imax we did all end up feeling a bit dizzy in places.

Enjoy the good food show Vic - we went to the one at the SECC at it was great (even though we were hung over)

I wouldn't count on this being the last xmas thread they don't last more than a week and there's a whole month to go yet.

I can't quite remember who else I was replying to so sorry for all the people I've missed.

I'm all confused again this morning after ewcm disappeared it's back so I haven't a clue where I am anymore. I'm glad I've got a monitor for next month.

I may *try* temping too, but our thermometer's only got 1decimal place and I can't justify getting a new one just yet, ours is fairly new I bought it during the whole swine flu thing, after getting sent home from work with a cold and not allowed back until I could tell them my temperature to *prove* I didn't have a fever. Though with the Christmas break it might be even harder than usual to temp what with visiting my in-laws where its cold my parents where its hot and being home where its somewhere in the middle. The ambient temperature surely makes a difference doesn't it?

Right here i go,

FB, 'm glad the louboutins are safe and sound! And testing christmas day is exciting, no sure i could do it though. And theres no snow here in Nottingham, but supposedly getting some tonight, but we'll see. it usually misses us.

CP's Mum, thats nice that you go your happy ending. and i agree about it all being part of the journey to getting the babies we're supposed to.

LM, i try and not look at the bfp's if they're from someone i don't recognise. That sounds really mean, but i too would like a group just for our threads. Its not that i'm not happy for them, because i am, just sad thats it hasn't been that easy for us.

Mrs, don't blame you for keeping it quiet. Did anyone know you were ttc?

Clalee, FF says the ambient temperature shouldn't make too much difference, but i'm sure it must somehow. i got my thermometer from Amazon, think it was around ??????3.

Morning girls!

CM - Thanks for the positive vibes with the cramps! As the night went on it felt more and more like period pain so I am convinced she is on her way now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RB!!!! Hope you have a fabulous day and weekend

LM your plan sounds great and very thorough, I think you will have your well deserved bfp in no time. Completely agree on the BFP announcements too, it's the same with my friends, four of my closest friends are now pregnant and I couldn't be happier for them, but when it's old school acquaintances etc it does hit a nerve!!! I read SoHappy's story a while back and it was just so tragic. Sending you a great big hug.

It was on the old thread but what a lovely inspiring post from MrsB! I found myself looking at number plates this morning on the way in!!!

Am sorry AF showed FB, if we haven't done it this month I will be due Boxing Day!!! It would be lovely wouldn't it

MrsAd, sorry I missed your post yesterday - what are your thoughts this morning lovely? It's such a personal decision. My instinct would also be to take it but the other ladies are completely right in saying not to rush into a choice, and maybe give yourself the next month to really think it out. Your body might surprise you in that time too! What exactly are the side effects? It is nice that you have been given the option though :\)

Well as I said above, I am pretty sure I have period pains now, 11dpo, no more discharge at all but have that definite heavy feeling and the odd pang. No other symptoms whatsoever! I am going to buy a thermometer when I am in town tomorrow anyway so I am prepared! My lovely friend that got pregnant this month is also giving me her temping bible (I can't remember what it's called) and her leftover EPO!

xx

Morning ladies

Clalee - this was my first time of temping, and I could tell when we started using the heating in the mornings as I saw my temp increase by about 0.2 so it wasn't too dramatic so I think temping should still be ok but maybe not an overly reliable first month!

Can't wait to see HP - feel like I am the last person in the world to see it!

Only one friend knew we were, but I think quite a few family/friends are expecting something soon as I suppose it's never been a secret that I would like children while I'm young. We are perfecting the art of lying! The other nigth was so funny - I hope hubby hasn't given us away. We were at SIL & her partner came in and said about 'when you have kids, which is going to happen' and we couldn't look at each other as I knew hubby would be like a bunny in headlights - especially as a week earlier he had told them honestly no when they asked if he'd got me 'up the duff yet'

It's so cold today ladies! I'm still in bed. Had a poorly tummy in the night so hardly slept & as I'm so tired anyway have decided I'm better off at home esp as I have exams next week and need to be in better form!

How are our 2WWs getting on?

RB - Happy birthday

Flo - Sorry you think AF is on her way... I'm still hoping you're wrong! x

MrsP, i expect that would have given the game away at your SIL's. Our friends know we're ttc, and we know another couple in the group are too, so everyone is watchign for when we stop drinking, no pressure!

It is freezing today. I'm on my second cup of tea, just to keep my hands warm.

Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry i missed it earlier, but

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RB!!!!!

So I'm 2 or 5 dpo. This time last month I have post-ovulatory sore boobs, but this month nothing. It might be all the gin and red wine I've been on!

It's ok MrsP, I'll be the last person in the world to see HP as I'm not really interested! Never read the books, have seen a couple of the films. I'll probably see it when my sister gets it on dvd and I visit for a weekend or something.

Hi Everyone- have now caught up - MrsP will find you through flo and kels.

Well me and hubby had a good talk last night and I'm going to go for it. Although will explain that I am away in NY then over christmas and New year too so wont start until January - thats if I have a period - got to wait till a new cycle before you start it, knowing me it will be another 5 month stint now I've made a decision.

Flo - pg does just feel like af is coming so you never know, the brown spotting is exactly what I had when I got BFP so I'm still feeling you are in with a good chance.

LM - Thats exactly how I feel when reading the threads sometimes - I feel a bit guilty cant help feeling a bit miffed.

Looby - you seem to be getting the run around again, but stick with the monitor, if you havent had a temp shift I owuld say you havent ov'd but obv thats not a definite. Ihope you get pulled out of limbo and get your peak in the next couple of days.

I'm cd12 and got low again - got a high cd12 last month so I'm hoping i'm not going to get as many and get a peak instead.

Clalee- the termometer will be fine - I wouldnt bother getting a new one.

Vic - Hope you ave a good time at the good food show I went a couple of years ago and its fab - if you like pate go to the patchwork pate stall- it is THE best pate in the world!!

RB - HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUN!!!

MrsB - Thanks for coming on and giving us some added PMA!!

Sorry for everyone i've missed - i'm having a forgetful day!!

MrsAd I think if I were you I'd go for it too. As long as you really drum it home that clomid can cause pg symptoms and are pretty rigid with only testing on certain days, then it's better than potentially having to wait a year for you bfp! You're effectively gaining 6 months, and your body might have given up a bfp within the 6 months but at least if it doesn't you don't then have to wait until this time next year to really feel like something's making a difference. I hope it works!

MrsAd, i think thats a good plan. Hope it works for you.

i'm definitely going to keep using the cbfm until it tells me otherwise. Going to take a sneaky look at the post Kels put up with photos of her sticks for me to compare.

Rachey baby, happy birthday m'lovely! hope you're having a good one. Have just had a caramel digestive (or 6!) in your honour!

Mrs Ad, welldone! Isn't easy being faced with decisions like that. We're brought up to think it'll just happen, so it's something not many of us have considered too much. I think it's what most of us would have done though. Hope that speeds up that BFP big stylee for you!

I've revised my plan now. Going to get referred for tests before Christmas, I think. Ladybird, from the Longterm thread advised me that there was a wait for them, so I don't want to put things off. I figure that if there's something wrong we can get stuff sorted. If there isn't, I can relax about it and that's got to be conducive to a BFP. Sorry for my rambles of late. Think I'm finally at ease with it all.

Kels, feel better, lovely. Glad you've got someone to spoil you.

Flo, hope the next few days go quickly for you... and of course, that you get THAT result!

Have decorators in so am sort of floating about the house not really being able to achieve anything much, but it does give me the perfect reason to enjoy the weather. Went out for a 2 and a half hour walk with dogget earlier and am just contemplating taking her out again.

Thanks for your support ladies - it really does mean a lot, so glad I've got you ladies to speak to, None of my close friends are in a place where they are even thinking about kids apart from one who has just had er 2nd baby so has other things to think about at the min.

I've just called to speak to the nurse but she's not available so was told she would call me back on Monday.

Also just been for my patch test for my laser treatment and I can't have it done!! Im gutted, but if you become pregnant they cant do it because your skin becomes more sensitive so it is more likely to burn you so they refuse to do it, not tat I would have it done knowing it was going to burn more anyway but still bummed!

Looby I often have a look at kels sticks - I was surprised I got a low today when I looked at the lines because the LH line was really visible, where the past three day it was barely there at all.

Kels - sorry youre feeling rough hun, hope hubby's looking after you and you make a speedy recovery.

LM - how long have you been trying hun? I'm glad youre feeling better about things, hopefully you wont have to wait too long for the tests? Is there anything that you know which could be a problem?

Phew just got back from the dentist, I hate that place!

MrsAd so glad you have made a decision and are happy with it, we will all be here to get you through the journey and help you cope with any side effects! Do you feel quite excited by the prospect of doing something so constructive to your ttc mission? I think I would! Oh no, that's rubbish about the laser treatment!!! What a bugger. Think you should use the money to treat yourself to something else

Hmm, it was a very small amount of spotting though and only happened once? I don't know. I don't mean to be pessimistic, I just don't feel like we have done it which is silly when I have no idea what it will actually feel like!!

Kels and MrsP, sorry you are both poorly! Wrap up nice and warm and make sure your hubby's are your slaves until you recover!

LM liking the plan - whichever way the results go you know we are here to talk to whenever you need us. When are you going to see the doctor? There is nothing better than long doggy walks in this lovely crisp weather, my puppy doesn't like the rain or cold much and walks on tiptoes if there is a frost! I really want it to snow to see how she reacts!!

ooh, that's a shame, Mrs Ad about the laser stuff. I walk around like an ewok most of the time, so I can sympathise. Would be lovely to be fur-free. I was thinking about going swimming this afternoon. However, I reckon I might get hounded by animal rights activists upon exposing my legs!

yes, I'm finding this place invaluable too.

Here's a question for everyone. Who's talked all this over with folk in the outside world? I finally told my mum in a moment of weakness. We talk about everything, but I'd made up my mind not to tell her this. However, she lulled me into a false sense of security and I ended up spilling the beans. I haven't told anyone else though, and nor has OH.

this is 9th month now, mrs Ad, so it's not a ridiculous length of time, by any means but OH has partially descended testicle, which apparently can have an effect- it's this I particularly want to get checked out. Also, my mum had early menopause, which can be genetic. I'm 31 in Jan and have the fear. That said, it could very well just be we haven't been lucky yet. Am so hoping the tests will be sorted quickly or we'll end up BFP before getting them.

26/11/2010 at 09:55
mrsad, think uv done the right thing

this place is really good to go to for advice.

LM, hope that the tests will be sorted out quickly for you.

i cant believe that it is december next week, this year has flown by quickly, but in the ttc sense, its all been a bit slow for me, would be amazing to see a BFP when i test, im currently 6dpo, its taking ages the 2ww.

I have 3 wonderful best friends who know we are ttc. They are all pregnant now, one with her second. I was the last to start trying and they have really been amazing with getting me clued up on things, I really didn't have a clue beforehand!

Noone knows on hubby's side - to be honest there are so many kids in hubby's family that I don't think they will give two hoots when I am pregnant! Whereas on my side it would be the first grandchild so I haven't told my family we are ttc as I want to be able to completely surprise them. It's my Dad's birthday on NYE and we are with them, I would so love to be able to give him a Grandpa card! I really shouldn't let myself think like that but it's hard not to.

So you girls are a real lifeline for me and I am very glad I braved it and gate crashed this thread!!
