Clomid Side effects - Trying for a baby

i have been prescribed 3 months worth of clomid whic i started taking on good friday. i thought i was luky andhad got a way with no side effects however lst week on CD26 i started to feel really sick in waves and then was getting really bad crampings. af was late so was feeling really positive but she turned up yesterday morning however today i have had to run to the toilet lads thinking i was going to be sick. is it usual to get side effects this late in month after takin the tablets, i thought you would get it whilts taking them... has anyone else had this problem when taking clomid?

Hi Ladies

Ive just finished my 3rd month of Clomid and had nausea for the last month it started on cd19 of my second month and it comes and goes.
Ive had bad cramps too.

Nice to not be only one taking Clomid

Hi Natalie and Clarins, I am due to start my first cycle of Clomid on Thursday. How long have u been ttc ? Did your GP prescribe it or specialist ? Reason I ask is my GP has prescribed it. TTC since May and had MC in Dec. Af took 94 days to arrive but last cycle was only 36 (I believe it was the Agnus Cactus) I have extremely irregular cycles (av 60-70 days). I am a bit weary about starting it as I have read the side effects. GP told me to take CD5. I would welcome your comments.

hi thanks ofr the reassurance that i am not over reacting clarins about the side effect.

mugwia, i have been trying now for nearly 2 yrs, my cycles are generally really regular but just have 21 day bloods back and they say i have not ov, have been doing tests also myself and do not think i have ov in about 4 months so hoping the now increased prescription will make me ov and i get my bfp. My oh also has a lowish spearm count so the odds are really against us at the moment (sorry feeling a bit down). i got referred to a gynea at the hospital and he prescribed the clomid. just started taking my second month so pulling out all the stops this month and would love to get a bf for hubbys 30th in june.....

Mugwia, my Gp prescribed me clomid when we were ttc Zara for what sounds like the same reason as you. My cycles were all over the place & I was at the end of my tether. What made it all the more frustrating was that we had conceived Amy in the 1st month of trying but I know now that it was probably more luck than anything else. Thankfully it worked for us in the 2nd month of taking the clomid & we got our bfp. I was lucky & didnt suffer too badly from the side effects mentioned though I would have suffered from ov pain around the time of ov & I was a bit tireder than normal.

We are now ttc again & I'm more prepared this time that it wont happen straight away. I'm now on month 3 but my cycles have failed to settle soo far since having Zara. I spoke to my GP & she said that if they have failed to settle by august she'll prescribe me clomid again. Fingers crossed something happens before then though.

Clomid has been making me sick in the late part of the cycle for the last five cycles. I was hoping each time it was early morning sickness but I think it was the clomid!

i had clomid when i had my first 2 children and i didnt have any sickness or side effects just bfps on 1st month with dd and 2nd month with ds an d now im just trying to get an af but after 48 days i think im gonna end up on clomid again

I have had really bad cramping this is my first cycle
So fingers crossed. But need a bit of help with something I have
Been ovulating for seven days is that RIGHT like us it normal ?

Can someone pls help,should have started takin clomid today 2nd day of cycle,phoned hospitial yesterday to let them know and they told me not to start them today, I need to go in tomorow and have a scan an then start them I'm so confused ????
