After you ovulate your temperature will rise a bit. It will stay high until your AF arrives, or sometimes the day before AF arrives. If you are pregnant, your temperature will stay high.
The time between ovulation and your AF is the luteal phase (sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs here) and it is always the same length for each individual - a normal luteal phase lasts between 12 and 16 days.
If you know your normal luteal phase is e.g. 14 days and your temperature has stayed high for 16 days then take a test as it's most likely you're pregnant!!
If you've just come off the pill though, it might take a few cycles before you can really tell what your normal luteal phase length is though.
