Ok so this is my first month BBT and i'm rubbish at it. My question is

What is my temp supposed to do;

A) If Im pregnant

B) If i'm not preganant

After you ovulate your temperature will rise a bit. It will stay high until your AF arrives, or sometimes the day before AF arrives. If you are pregnant, your temperature will stay high.

The time between ovulation and your AF is the luteal phase (sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs here) and it is always the same length for each individual - a normal luteal phase lasts between 12 and 16 days.

If you know your normal luteal phase is e.g. 14 days and your temperature has stayed high for 16 days then take a test as it's most likely you're pregnant!!

If you've just come off the pill though, it might take a few cycles before you can really tell what your normal luteal phase length is though.

The short answer is that they will stay up if you are pregnant but start to drop a day or two before or after AF if you aren't.
Some pregnant women get an implantation dip, some get a second rise in temps. Neither of these guarantee that you are pregnant though (of course! that would be too simple wouldn't it?!).

Thats not good news as i'm 4dpo and my temp has gone back to normal

Hmm, it's far too early for your temp to be back to normal....could be a fluke? Or very early implantation?? What does FF say?

Well its inaccurate as I missed a couple of days taking temps just after I think I ovulated so it says I havent ovulated as I havent got three days high. My opk said I ov'd and so did cm so I think I should forget the temps for this month. I'm excited about starting my CBFM next month tho!

I'm the same as a couple of times I had hangover (not an alchy but had my engagement do then a staff do on same week lol!) and both times my temp was v high so FF said I ov but all my other termps were as low as usual so when I discarded the high temps it then said I didnt ov
