First and foremost, I must apologise for the idiocy of this question, I feel ridiculous even asking but its bothering me...... as someone who loves baths, is it OK to have a bath during ovulation? I know that it shouldn't be too hot but if there were some champion swimmers in there waiting for an egg to be released would a bath wash them out?

Good question I dont think they would wash them out if they are were they are supposed to be. I too like baths & try not to have them to hot, would be interesting to read other thoughts on this xx

I take fast showers during ovulation and in the 2ww. I try to wash my hair before I go in. Then I leave the window open w/ curtain of course and the door open s'o it won't' get my temperature elevated. I am too paranoid.

you know what hun? I was worried over this as I always bath every night and as it was taking so long to concieve I thought one day well what if because im bathing everynight just before bding the water it still lingering up there so its killing the sperm! So last cycle I bathed on the morning of ov and not the night , low and behold I got my BFP!

I dont know if its anything to do with it but hey you never know!

personally, i think that given that the any potentially successful sperm will have to be in the uterus within 30 mins of sex, as long as you wait half an hour you can bathe without any problems. i doubt that water can get into the uterus while bathing. any of the sperm still hanging around in the vagina won't have it in them to fertilise an egg so it doesn't matter if they get washed out.at least that what i had read a doctor had said in the times.

i also think it's unlikely to be good from a stress point of view if everything you do is focused on conceiving. i may be wrong, but i think that trying your best to carry on as normal would be the most healthy mental state to be in to conceive.
Your say
