Bank Charges - Grrrrr

I am so annoyed - thought I would come on here and teel you all about it.

Went overdrawn by 48 pence for one day on the wkend and have receieved a ??63 bank charge - Went to see the bank mgr and he wouldnt budge.

Its just so unfair - I had money in other accounts with them - they are being so mean!!!!!

I hate banks,its sooo frustrating isn't it? I went ??1.04 over and they didn't budge either!!

Ive been out at lunch time and opened an account with a different bank.

Bloody cheek, Think the banks are taking full advantage of so called 'credit crucnch'. I didn't think they did anything for under a ??1!

Tell them you will change banks if they don't cancel the charges! They will be desperate to keep all clients right now so it might work. They are real buggers!

you want to check that they are allowed to charge that much as the rules have been recenty changed as to how much they can charge x. it sounds like a lot x

They are just legalised theives!!!

There is somewere you can claim all you bank charges back, and its illegal for them to refuse. No sure were it is now but try searching on the net for it.

I'd start off by pointing out to the bank manager that it is an unlawful charge: the amount you are being charged does not reflect the cost incurred by them for you going over drawn.

Ask to see a breakdown of what the charge is for. Is it for sending out a letter or email? In which case, how has that cost in excess of ??50 to do?

The bloody cheek - the banks have had to be bailed out by the government and yet don't cut anyone else any slack!
