We want to try for baby number 4 but i still havent had a period after my daughter in april 2010. i had one shot of depo at my 6 week check, so it could just be this and from breastfeeding until 13 months that is prolonging my period. I'm afraid im not very good at the ovulation checking thing, is there a way to check naturally if i am ovulating as i realise i can't be if i don't get periods. I'm tempted to just start ttc anyway and leave it to see what happens.
Any ideas ladies would be appreciated

hi. i dont know much about depo. but i had one shot which i hated as i had a light period for 8wks! so i never had another one, but it took me 13-14 months to conveive my son from that first injection. this was nearly 9 years ago though so depo might not be that bad anymore... sorry, not much help x

yo can pick up ovulation tests really cheap on amazon and ebay. they are easy to use and youll soon know if your ovulating yet.

Hi Clairol! Not sure if you remeber me from DIA 2010 but nice to "speak" to you again . Prob the best way to check if your ov'ing without spending a fortune on OPKs is to chart your temps. If you check your temperature every morning as soon as you wake up and before you get out of bed you should see it rise when you are ovulating. If you've not had a peak after a month and still o AF I'd speak to your doc as you might need something to "re-boot" your system. Good luck. xxx

The depo can take ages to get out of system, flipping horrible contraceptive I found with constant periods that last forever . I got mine out ages ago and went straight onto pill which regulated me. It was a good couple of years between depo , pill and ttc but did fall the 1st months after coming off pill so maybe it reset my system.

BF will also have slowed ovulation down. If temping doesnt appeal you could buy some ebay chapie ov sticks and use them for a month and see where is gets you before visit to docs perhaps.
