that is shocking, I'm a nurse albeit in the community, but I would never consider speaking to anyone like that. Whenever a patient comes to see a health professional, they are usually in need of something and they is mostly driven by fear and uncertainty and I think many health professionals should be reminded of that. You have every right to make a complaint via the practice manager, I would be tempted. At the very least, you should book to see someone else. At my big GP surgery, the practice nurses are actually better at handly more than the GP's althught they said they don't usually see PG women until 8 weeks and then ref them to midwifes etc.
