Just took Charlotte to clarks as I wanted correct fitting trainers (she has some boot things but they're mothercare ones & I think she's outgrown them already). Well the service was excellent & they said she's a 3.5 G but they literally only had 3 pairs in that size in the walking range, the lad reckoned they don't get much call for small size walkers!!

It's crazy, she NEEDS shoes so ended up in a buckle pair of shoes for ??28!!! Not what I wanted at all but no choice. Even checked their website & they only had the same 3 pairs of shoes as the store. So
where can I get her some well fitting trainers???

My mum always moaned as my feet are small but wide too, now I totally sympathise with her!!

Can't help with the trainer hunt but just wanted to sympathise - when I wanted walkers for my son in a 3G there was literally a choice of one pair - and I had to phone around about 10 different shops to find them in stock!

On a trainer hunt too, and even in a 4.5G there's not much choice. Feel I have no option but to use Clarks or Startrite (even more expensive than Clarks tho!) with Skye's wide feet, as the cheaper trainers will be too narrow. Been all over the internet trying to track some down but to no avail. We have a lovely local-ish shop (thanks blondefriend ; ) ) that sells great trainers, but can't bring myself to part with ??35-??40!!!!! Esp knowing they will get wrecked in a week and prob grown out of in 6-8 weeks : (

Wish they did trainers in better colours than white and pale pink too, very impractical in this unseasonal wet weather!

EBay will have to be my saviour I think!

My lo is a 3.5G and is nearly 2. She has some normal clarks but I also got her some little trainers from next. They are a size 4 but their sizes are quite small. They fit her really well. I really wish there was a shop other than clarks that sold proper shoes. I think the majority of them are horrible. I don't always want pink or purple shoes!! And I don't want to pay a fortune either. I will her feet to grow so I can have more choice. Unfortunately it's a family trait to have small wide feet.

We have a similar nightmare except that it is due to Chloe being a H width - not only does she have wide feet she has a high instep too!! As I said on the other post we were in Clarks for an hr with box after box all around us of different styles, colours, widths and lengths!! She measures a 7/7.5 in length but ended up in a 8!!

We have had to order trainers to come in later this week as they don't stock H width in the shop. we had two styles to choose from and either white or pink!! both looked the same to me so said whatever!! she only wears them for nursery in within a week they will look like she's had them for a year!! But as they are so wide I can't get her cheap ones like hubby initially didn't understand until he came with me! So we paid ??30 for boots and have to pay ??28 this weekend for trainers!

Thankfully Chloe is now out of the walking range as they had an awful choice in H - literally two choices out of every possible choice - there is slightly better in the next range up but not much better.

We have also found that depending on the style, sometimes if you go up a 1/2 size so still fits but a bit more growing room, you can sometimes come down a width so that may be worth exploring with them??

Good luck - I have similar issues with my feet and seriously hoped to avoid them with Chloe and that she would inherit daddy's normal feet but nope she has inherited mine and to this day still hate shoes as i just have such a mare with them!!!
