Mummy, Mummy..... the whining has started!!!!

Chloe now constantly says this and then gabbles a load of stuff I am yet to understand!!! Every 30 seconds today is all she has said!!

Seriously tho she is talking so much now and understands so much!! This morning was so cute, we were waiting for the bath to fill as usual on a saturday morning (thanks to her aversion to the hairdryer am baths are the way to go in this house!!) and i sneezed and she said rather unexpectedly 'bless you mummy' - it was just the way she said it!! melted my heart. she now says 'love you mum' as well which is just lovely.

I just wish she would stop screaming her way round sainsburys  She had her tantrum in front of FIL today and he was most shocked at how stroppy she was!!

I can't wait for this whining phase to end

Mollie's favourite question at the moment is 'What are you doing Mummy?' constantly drives me mad!! And if it's not that she's asking what each person she comes across is doing or inanimate objects (e.g. the plastic lion in her toy zoo). She even made a girl at childminders cry last week with her constant questioning.

Just waiting for the 'Why?' phase now!

Do they ever grow out of it lol! x

Awww, I'm really looking forward to Charlotte talking. At 16 months all i get is dadda dadda, and a sort of inquisitive noise as she points to something she wants. We used to get Mamma and dadda but not anymore. She'll copy sometimes, yesterday she copied when I said uh-oh but I think its going to be a looong time before she is saying any actual words.

Isaac has just started stringing sentences together. He turned to me in asda the other day and said 'love you mummy'. I nearly cried! He didn't talk for so long. He's 2yrs 9m now!

He says things I don't expect, like I'll ask him something he'll say 'of course mummy'. He sound so grown up!

Although if he's really upset he goes backwards to nanananananana and I have NO idea what he's saying!

Oh its started!!! its much better when the whining stops and you get the proper conversations!!

Although Shea is now starting to ask some very awkward questions!!

over this weekend we've had...
What is a wedding?
babies come out of mummies tummy's, do they come from daddys too?
Why is that man black?

Oh my word, I was stumped at the last one!! Kids are so innocent but blunt!!!

But when they say I love you it mealts your heart!!! xxx

We're in a combination of odd words being added together and a bit of whining thrown in for good measure.

Constant mamma or Beebies or snack can be followed by little sentences "tank coo mamma" being my favourite. Although he says it all the time instead of please now. I think I responded so well when he said it that he says it all the time !

Also if we see a plane/digger/ambulance etc. He says the word repeatedly until I acknowledge it. "plane plane plane plane " "Yes Archie, there's a plane". Then brief silence.

When do they start saying 'Yes'. I'm still geting 'No' in answer to everything !! S x

It melts your heart sometimes doesn't it - it was my birthday last week and sine then lo has said to me everyday, at least 50 times a day "happy birthday mummy". Its so lovely. I could cry now just thinking about it (and I'm in work!)!

aaaawwww! the toddler stage can be so rewarding and those lovely little sentances just make up for all the tantrums!

p.s you wait till its all "why?" and "whats this"
02/08/2010 at 08:39
oh i get the why and what's this already, it just comes after mmmmuuuummmmyyyy!!!!! lol!!!

They are just so cute at this stage as much as chloe can be a complete terror (starbucks and the swimming pool yesterday were prime examples lol!!) i'm finding it harder to leave her for work everyday. she has got into the habit of waking early now so where i didn't used to see her in the mornings i now often do. I went to leave this morning and sneezed and got 'bless you mummy' then said bye bye and got back ' bye bye mummy, love you mum' it was just so cute i had to leave before i cried!!!
