Hi
Lea is 14 months and is very fussy eater, wont eat finger foods and eats very little from spoon.
I am looking for more ideas what to give her for her lunch, she wont eat sandwiches etc and i normally give her cheesy scrambled egg but want something different to give her from tea time meals!

Very hard to find things that she likes, thanx for any help xx

Hi, my Shea is a bit of a fussy eater too when it comes to proper meals! He used to be okay with sandwiches etc around 14months but now at 21months isn't interested in most finger foods now!

But I have noticed he's developed a liking for pasta!! So a lot of his meals at the mo are spaghetti and cheese sauce, or meatballs and penne pasta, something like that. He also loves soups with bread but again, doesn't like to be fed off spoon too much so I'm letting him get on with it at the mo - he's making an awful mess but hey ho, at least he's eating!!

Other finger foods to try:
filled pittas
breadsticks and dips
homemade oven chips / wedgies
chicken strip coated in a savoury breadcrumb
homemade pizzas - muffin bases are ideal for base
cubes of cheese
carrot / celery sticks

Good luck, I'm sure their eating will get better, I try and not stress about it now as I think Shea picks up on this and is worse! x

Both my two (1 and nearly 3) like wraps made with tortilla's. We spread them with cheese spread and then put cold meat (turkey is nice) and normally some sweet pepper chopped up on top and roll them up tight. They are soft and easy for them to eat and are really tasty (I normally have them too!) We also make pizza using tortilla as a base which works really well as it is a really thin base.

A fave of ours is mini cheedars and primula cheeses loves it also Malt Loaf with butter and cheese sticks and houmous or dairlea. Sorry just a few quickie's but this always works if she is being fussy. Oh also if we are having potato the night before I keep a few and make potato salad she always tucks in to that.
