Hiya, Well I know how you feel. I'm 13weeks and have been sick since 7 weeks. It got so bad I had to get the doctor out. I lost a stone in 2 weeks and was finding it hard even keeping water down. The doctor put me on anti sickness tablets which started to work after a couple of days. Even while on the tablets I'm still feeling sick a lot of the time and have been sick at times aswell. I think you should go to see your GP or midwife if you don't feel any better soon. Sorry I've not been much help. Hope you feel better soon so you can start to enjoy the pregnancy. Debs 13+4

hi there, I was sick for the first 12-14 weeks (now 35+2),and ended up dehyrdrated and in hospital for 2 days...some people just don't stop being sick - it's all the hormones I think....if you're not managing to keep anything down, make sure that you drink plenty and if that fails go and see your doc, you might have a tummy bug...Also don't mean to worry you, but there may be two little beans in there, hence the excessive sickiness...unfortunately there is nohting to stop the sickness...have you tried ginger or pepppermint tea? Good luck and get well soon! xxx

PS - I hate it when people say they've had no sickness or illness or heartburn - thats not fair and they are jammy!!!

Hello there. I so sympathise with you. I had so much sickness that I was hardly at work through my pregnany and like you say everyone says "oh you'll be alright after 12 weeks, 16 weeks etc" I hope it stops for you v soon but sadly mine went on for 7 months BUT I now have little happy healthy Sophie who weighed a wopping 8lb 3oz when she was born despite me losing 2 stone through my pregnancy. I know it is miserable now but it will all be worth it in the end and for all the people that are saying "oh it's only a bit of morning sickness" you tell them it is hyperemasis (could be spelt wrong) and big loud raspberry to them!! Put your feet up and get plenty of rest. Also don't be scared of popping into hospital fo have a few bags of saline to rehydrate you it does make you feel a bit better for a while. Good luck.

HI! If anyone says ' ginger or crackers ' I shall scream!!! This is my 3rd pregnancy and wow I can't believe how awful I feel.My 1st bubba (girl)I was sick from 9 til 13 weeks and 2nd (boy) I was nausea but yes crackers and all that jazz did help but this tiny tenant is something else, have had a scan and there is just the one. I know it's a good sign but when you're huddled over the sick bowl for the umpteenth time it doesn't feel so good. Does anyone else get fed up with ' well it's only pregnancy '. I don't think anyone can appreciate how tough it is unless they've been through this sickness, being a bit nauseated in the morning is so different. I am 15 weeks now,Fri and Sat I wasn't sick and was dancing round the living room..bad move, yesterday I was as sick as a pig.Evenings are my worst time, I have found if I am tired it is worse and when I am hungry ,it is a vicious circle though cause I'm sick when I do eat and sick when I don't. I've been off work for 7 weeks and am expected to go back next week!!!! Will I make it?

Hi I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been sick a lot and the worst thing about it is feeling sick all the time.I woudn't mind if it was just throwing up but I find the nausea the worst.I don't feel like eating anything yet I know that will make it worse. When I was pregnant with my little boy I was signed of work as had hypermesis and I am just dreading feeling that bad again. The thing is everyone says its a good sign which I know it is.I had a miscarriage in July so feel very lucky to be expecting again. But god I just feel awful !!

Hiya, I was sick at least once a day between 8 and 16 weeks. At 16 it just stopped overnight and I felt wonderful the rest of my pregnancy. The only thing that ever helped me was a cold cold can of coke in the morning, and i always felt so guilty about it, even though it was the only caffeine i ever had! I had no appetite really either, although i tried my best to eat, but ended up losing a stone in those 8 weeks, which meant by the time i had my baby i actually weighed less than before i was pregnant!

Hang in there, i know it's horrible but fingers crossed you'll be over it soon.

Hi

I'm 15 weeks 5 days. I had sickness from about 8 weeks stopped about 2 weeks later then just felt nauseus then at 13 weeks felt great then at 14 started throwing up and gagging then last Friday was constantly throwing up at work. I do long hours ended up laying down about 7.30pm for half hour and struggled through havent been back to work. Not sick everyday now just have an on off headache and feel extremely tired, ache from tip to toe and keep feeling hot or cold! I need to go have my next midwife appointment soon. Everyone says its just pregnancy but my balance is all over the place and its eye straining just writing this. Is this normal?

Im glad there are many of us with the same. Im into my 3rd week of being signed off work. I have a physical job and im on my feet 12hrs a day. Feeling sick is the worst being sick not so bad but that feeling dont last for long. Hypermesis certanly takes it out off you. Not able to keep a thing down water food nothing. I cant even go for a walk without going dizzy which is the worst feeling eva. Got midwife end of week but i think i know what she will say, dont go back to work yet but day time tv is getting really boring now. I know after all this we will have a great bundle of joy at the end of it all just wish the man was a little more sympathetic.

That fine but i am eating every 2 and half hours if i do not so nocious feel like i going to throw up but never do. I feel like all i do is eat. I even wake up twice a night to eat. Never was like this with my first one. Is this normal to feel like this have to eat so often and take a nap everyday? Thanks
