Hi
Not pregnancy related but looking for advice. I'm 4 months pregnant and getting married next June. We are thinking of holding off on our honeymoon until the Sep when the baby will be 10 months old. I just don't know where to go. Had anyone been anywhere they could recommend with a baby?

My son is 19 months now and we've travelled with him since he was 4 months old.

In my experience, the older they get, the harder the holiday.

We took our son on a cruise when he was 11 months, and walking, and he was all over the place. We also took him away when he was 4 months old and it was SO much easier since he didn't crawl or walk.

I hope this helps.

Hi - we are just back from a holiday in Corfu with my 1 year old DS - im not saying its easy and its not like any holiday we have ever had before but we enjoyed it. To be honest i do feel like I have come home for a break as I have a lot more to entertain him with at home. My only advice would be to research your hotel - all inclusive takes alot off you and kids clubs (we didnt leave DS in a kids club but its good to have the facilities there so you go along with them yourself). An indor pool would also be handy incase of bad or too hot weather. Look for a short flight and a short transfer at the other end;)
Best of luck with baby & wedding PS xx

I have to admit I got married when my daughter was 11 months and we left her at home with the grandparents so we could have a relaxing honeymoon! Of course we missed her, but it was lovely to have someproper grown up time!

I couldn't face going abroad with a baby but we did go to Center Parcs as a family when chloe was a year old and it is an amazing place for families, really well set up for little ones.

I do know plenty of people who have flown abroad with very small babies and I can imagine it must be easier in a way while they are not yet mobile, but you would have to worry about sterilisers etc. I think if you are a laid back sort of person anyway you should be fine.

We took my nephew to Tenerife when he was 5mths old. Generally it depends on what type of holiday you're looking for as most popular/well known resorts will cater for infants/toddlers these days stocking nappies and baby foods. Again you could find a satisfying family holiday closer to home in a resort such as Haven/Butlins/Center Parcs.
