Shall I get them out again?

When I was pregnant with Jacob I bought a stash of bumgenius nappies, and tried them at various times in the first few months. He's now nearly a year old, and we've been using only disposables for the last 6 months or so. I found them too bulky, not absorbent enough, I couldn't get the poo stains out, and some of the plastic lining the inside was coming off despite me washing them properly.
However, I'm wondering whether to get them back out and have another go - but I don't know whether Jacob will like it, he's very strong-willed and don't know whether he'll take kindly to a bulkier less absorbent nappy! What do you all think? Is it worth it?

Pocket nappies such as the bumgenius aren't as absorbent as a two part system so you may find you need additional boosters if he's a heavy wetter.

As he's now beginning to walk he'll probably be thankful for the softer landing the cloth nappies offer over disposables especially if you have wooden floors.

Now that's he's been weaned the staining should also stop. Staining never means the nappies aren't clean and a good day on an outside line (rain or shine) always helps remove or fade any stains from mine.

The waterproofing shouldn't be coming off and if they are "official" bumgenius nappies i would contact the manufacturer about this. The reason i say "official" is that there are fake bumgenius nappies out there which do have these waterproofing problems. If you bought them through a legitimate nappy retailer i'm sure they are fine (ebay much more of a risk though).
