Does anyone know how to fold terry nappies? Thinking of giving it a go initially and save on buying the less bulky newborn washables that are available e.g. diddy diaper.... And then once baby is around 3 mnths I should be able to use birth to potty.....

Just trying to save cash

There is a good selection of different folds on here. I think it is just a case of trying a few and seeing what works best for you.

I use terry squares - my mum taught me the folds. I use the kite fold & when my LO was smaller I used the one which makes a thicker pad in the middle but I can't remember the name!
Ages ago I goggled 'nappy folds' or something like that & had a look for more folds & there is one other (which looks like a posh napkin fold) which I shall be trying for baby no.2
The kite fold is the easiest - just practice lots before having LO & buy Nappi Nippas as these are easier than nappy pins - no risk of stabbing LO!
Also, if you buy the Mothercare set in a bucket then go to Boots & buy their plastic pants with cotton edging as Mothercares small plastic pants are huge & didn't fit my LO til he was 6 months! Also, boots are machine washable & Mothercares aren't. Or invest in some Nature Babies size small wraps, I love Nature Babies wraps.
Terry squares dry really quickly too & I fold them whilst watching the tv! I've put pics of them on the washing line on my facebook page! lol! If you want a look I'm Francesca Jones in the Manchester network & the photo album is 'Real Nappies Rock!'

I just fold nappy in half so its a rectangle then fold the front down (how far depends how big baby is) then pin either side as this way fits Rubi best and she doesnt seem to leak as much x
