Hi Lisa - hope all will be good for you when you get your results (although I know in one sense that would be frustrating better that than finding a problem). Are you going anywhere nice for your holiday in October? You are so lucky - I have to hang out until December for my holiday, wish it was next week!

I am back tomorrow to talk to the recurrent mc consultant along with my blood doc about what if anything they are prepared to do to help minimise my clotting with any future pregnancy as the tests showed I have a genetic mutation that makes me more susceptible to clot.

How are you vestall? Are you keeping well?

Hiya! Off to Lanzarote on my hols! 3 more sleeps! I got my results early. 3 of my results are borderline, one for thyroid, blood clotting and progesterone. Had some bloods repeated today so gotta wait another 3 weeks!! Getting somewhere eventually! Not sure how I feel that something could be wrong!! At least its something that can be sorted. If it was bad luck, you cant take tablets for that! Don't know how I feel really! x

Hi Lisa, it's good that you've got some feedback, I had to battle and fight for my results as the hospital wouldn't tell me as there was nothing to report! My doc however repeated so I would see some results. I think getting a result can be mixed; I didn't want anything to be wrong, but then if there was at least they could do something about it and then it would feel like someone's trying to help.

With mine they found nothing, so are doing nothing, and I keep being told 'its just bad luck', and it's not given me any reassurance whatsoever. If they had said they'd found something I feel like i'd have some kind of closure and explanation and would get help in the future. So in a way you can maybe have a reason for your losses and it's good that they're repeating some tests for you. If they say you are borderline than it doesn't mean sometihng is wrong, but they definately help you more when you're pg again.

Have a good time on your hols, sounds like you need it!xx

Hi Lisa

glad you got first lot of results back. You may find that they will give you treatment for your borderline results in your next pg even if your next results are normal.

that is what happened to me, my blood clotting was low on first lot of tests, so told me to take aspirin when I was pg in May.

any news on your second results yet?

Hi, I've got an appointment on Monday for my next results. Will just have to see what they say. I've got a job interview that day so lets hope for 2 lots of good luck!! How are you getting on with your tests? x

Hi Lisa, it's good that they're re-testing to make sure. Hope you get your answers quickly and they'll give you some help when you're pg again. I'm 6 wks pg again and asked my doctor about any extra help now that's it my 4th pg and i'm getting nothing. I was just told to ring the mw earlier and when I did she told me to ring epac myself and beg for an early scan! I've got it 1 week today, very scary but trying not to think about it xx

Hi, they should be giving you more scans. If you have had that many mc you should have scans at 6/8/10/12/14 weeks. Ive got a book on mc and the TLC approach has proved to work. If you can afford I would pay for them yourself. Due to this research a lot could be said about worrying during first 12 weeks of pregnancy. x

Kwn_32 have you had a scan today? x

Hi Lisa,
I had an early scan on monday and it was amazing! We have a little splodge with a heartbeat, I burst out crying as we've never seen a heartbeat before. I was dated at 6+2 but she said I could be further as it was an abdominal scan and my cycles are a little longer than 28 days. I'm going back on 12 Dec so hopefully i'll be past my furthest loss which was 8+6, she said it was definately psychological to get more scans and was really nice. Obviously we're not out of the woods but fingers crossed it will happen for us this time xx
