I had a huge issue with people thinking I was just being lazy etc and felt guilty all the time but bugger that!

Have a look at the pelvic partnership website and show it to your Mum

Thanks mate. Am finding the "rest" thing difficult with working FT and with Abby running around but am trying to do it as much as possible.

thanks for bumping WoW Baby

resting is hard when i just want to clean all the time!!

at the moment i'm kind of only getting the majority of the pain on the left hand side, where my butt is,....is this spd? how does the MW/GP diagnose it?

Hunni thats sounds like Sciatica not SPD! I had sciatica with my first.

If you have SPD the pain will be in your pelvis xx

yeh i agree with mrsnoname, does it feel like ur hip has popped out? i had sciatica after having ds and thats what it felt like in one hip and down that leg (knee, ankle) whereas the spd i had whilst preggers with ds was more in my groin and pelvis and felt achey/bruised, almost like someone had kicked me square on in the foof! x

thank you! i'm seeing my gp at midday (MW not returning my calls GRRR) so i'll see what he says. been reading up on sciatica and it does sound more like that as it only appears to be one side - although both sides hurt - the left hurts much more.

I haven't been diagnosed with either of these, as I'm only 13 weeks ish, but I was wondering... what is it like? I have started to have persistent, moderate pain in my sacro-iliac joints (the ones between the bottom of your spine and the back of your pelvis)

Is this it? midwife keeps insisting tt it's just my ligaments softening, but I used to have a pelvic imbalance and had constant backache in this same place.

Any thoughts?
