Does anyone know much about slapped cheek or parvovirus in pregnancy?

It is doing thr rounds in our area and with a toddler who goes to all the toddler and play groups I am a little worried.

My midwife is getting my blood checked for immunity but this will take a few days to come back. She said that some experts think it is not an issue but the older school of thought is that it can cause problems if caught before 20 wks of pregnancy.

I am trying not to google as this only gets me in a flap so thought I would see if anyone has had experience of this.

It is very hard to avoid these things when you have a toddler. Was much easier to dodge this things first time round!

Thanks
Elisa

I was sent home from my school by the boss when I was pregnant and there was a pupil with slapped cheek. I know that the risk is low, but best to stay away from your baby and toler group for a while. Stay away from google and listen to your midwife xx
