i'm 24+ 3 and last night had the most excruciating back pain. Was curled in a ball crying in agony for an hour while hubby rubbed my back to try and make it go. Finally got to sleep but was up a lot through th night with sharp aching pains in my back and hips. This morning it is just as bad. Can't sit or stand or lie down, everything i try is just too uncomfortable and i feel like i'm being such a baby about it. I had this in my first pregnancy and the doctor said i had flu, i don't feel like i have flu, i feel exhausted though. Has anyone had this or know what it is?

no idea sorry hun but your need to see someone TODAY about this - it is not acceptable to have to feel like this!

Hope you feel better soon HUGS

thanks, can't see doctor til tomorrow, means a day off work but doubt i'd get there in this state anyway. I've got a hot water bottle and a super hubby looking after me for the time being. Been looking into symptoms online from my phone, seems it's either sciatica or something to do with my pelvis. I'm betting on the first as my legs are hurting now too.

I had the same for a good few days and my doctor said I had pulled a muscle, I couldn't get up or down and was in agony! I had to roll of the couch in the doctor's room as got stuck! lol. He said it was due to the muscles relaxing in pregnancy. My back still plays up now but I'm a bit more wary of what I can and can't do now so not been quite as bad as that few days was, thank god!!

Hope you get to your docs and feel better soon xx

ive had this before, and its gonna sound really stupid, but it could be trapped wind. i used to wake up bawling my eyes out because it felt like my back was gonna explode, it really hurt!! u could try getting hubby to smack ur back, like winding a baby, but be very firm! as much as u can stand. if it feels like it could help, then its wind. if not, get checked hun.
i mean, it might not be this, but its worth a shot!? xx

well my doctor was useless as ever, he diagnosed inflamed muscle tissue around my lower spine and pelvis, was tapping out a massive prescription and telling me about the really strong tablets he was giving me and i suddenly asked if the tablets were ok when pregnant. He looked at me puzzled like he wasn't the doctor i went to to get my folic acid when ttc and the one i went to when i found out i was pregnant. He then said he didn't know i was pregnant took the prescription back and gave me another for paracetamol, like i hadn't been taking them already! Grr! To make matters worse he wouldn't sign me off work, there is no way i can do my job (teaching assistant) in this condition. I can't even sit on my own chairs let alone diddy primary school ones. I'm really annoyed

Could be SPD, if your doctor is like that I'd go to hospital for 2nd opinion and they can sign you off if you need it. good luck, hope you're okay xxx your doctor sounds absolutely useless!!!
