OMG 1st Scan in 2 hrs!!!!! =S - Pregnancy

Hi,

Just had a call from my midwife and following my spotting saga at the weekend she has managed to get me a scan for today at 12pm. I'm an hour ahead of the UK (in Norway) so thats only two hours away!! I am relieved that I'm getting my scan but also absolutely terrified!!!!!!!!

Worst bit is I may have to go on my own as my oh is at work and I'm not sure he's going to be able to get any time away as he is a teacher :roll:

So fingers crossed that everything is ok and they can see the heart beart, not sure what I should be able to see (I'm 9 weeks tomorrow) but just it being there and ok is enough for me at the moment!

Think I better have a cup of tea and try and calm my nerves a bit!!!

Send me some positive thoughts ladies! I will let you know how I get on.

Hope all goes well for you Liz, Do let us know how it went. It's a shame your husband can't go with you!! Can't you call up a friend or someone to come with you and give you some support?

My oh has just called and the head has managed to get cover for his lessons so he can come with me. So glad I don't have to go on my own, especially as my Norwegian is poor and I might not even undertstand what they're telling me!!
Trying to drink as much water as I can but I need to pee already!! xx

Hello, well i had scan at 8 week, i got a picture, but the biggest part of picture was its heartbeat. U could just see a little thing, thats all but i was happy the heart beat was very good, the doctor said, So i wasnt that bothered about picture, i went back at 12 week 4 my 12 week scan & the baby had grown so much, i couldnt believe it in 4 weeks i could see everyhting, I go 4 my 20 week scan next week (i wiill be 23 week then& i woulder how much it will have grown, i cant wait 2 go. lol
its just dragging now.

Its all ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They kept me waiting for bloody ages so it was after 1pm when I finally went in for my scan. Could see the heartbeat and a distinctive baby shape!! The lady who gave me the ultrasound said everything looked very healthy and that my dates looked right and I shouldn't worry. She said spotting was very common and that my GP shouldn't have said what he did (not sure if I said this but he told me his wife miscarried about the same weeks as I was!). She said unless I got heavy bleeding not to worry about it.
I am so relieved I can't tell you, to make the day even better - if thats possible a parcel has arrived from my mum with a load of cadburys chocolate in it!!!! You can't buy it out here so it is total luxury.
