I am at wokr right now. Today I have my womens antenatal clinic... I love my clinic. However I start at 7:30am you know to get everything ready and read some of my ladies notes and things. My first appointment was 8am and it was a bookinglfirst appointment. For me these take time and I like to take my time going throuhg all the notes, giveing her a proper health history, discussing a few things, doing some obs (BP, pluse, resperations, urine test) etc and give them some info... So this roughly takes me 40 mins. The woman didnt turn up. Then I had another appointment for a woman who is 26 wks and she cancelled and my 9am had her bub yesterday. Man... I cant belive this.... Bad morning and am board. The unit manager said just do what you want.. Lol. Delivery suit just rang me and told me that they are really busy and that an antenate just rang with bleeding and pelvic pain... So they want to give her to me to assess, But now thats not goner work cos of my 9:30 woman.... I hope she comes in now or after that underwise all my appointments will then be late and my poor women will have to wait and then i'll have to rush them so I finish at the schedulled time. Plus I have to do two sweeps today and an induction... Amirah xo

Ohhhhh....... My 9:30 has rupture membranes.... Delivery suite just rang me... So looks like she wont be coming either. What am I gona do??? And the other woman hasnt arrived yet.....

take advantage of it and have a rest...? I know some of us have difficulty putting our needs first but bully yourself. Get into the habit of resting when you can, you'll need to when your baby arrives... Seems silly to be telling a midwife this but honestly, you'll find it difficult.

You're really not having a good day are you!! If I were you I would have a cup of tea and put my feet up until an appointment bothers to turn up.

My 10am is here... So I will do her first before the bleeding antenate comes in... She phoned over an hour ago.. Hope she okay!!! Have tried calling her house, no answer and her mobile is wtiched off... I will be okay.. Dont worry about me... Thanks for caring girls. xo
