no movement still at 18 weeks, second pregnancy

I'm not actually worried but it's playing on my mind so would just like someone else to say, me too, nothing to worry about! With DS I didn't feel movements til way past 20 weeks, and had an anterior placenta. Now with this pregnancy I am 18+5 and don't know where placenta is yet, but for some reason expected movement sooner. Is it normal not to feel it til later even second time around? Thanks x

You may have a anterior placenta again that may be the reason why. my friend is 19 weeks and had no definite movement yet and this is her third but she can hear the heartbeat and also been told she has a anterior placenta.
I was lucky to feel this one early the same with my first but everyone is different.
When do you your scan? They will be able to tell you then where your placenta is.

Thanks ladies. I have heard the heartbeat recently which is why I'm not worried. 20 week scan is coming up so all will be revealed placenta wise! x

Hiya

Don't worry i'm sure its all fine. I felt my baby move at just over 19 weeks and this is my 2nd. I felt my first at 18 weeks so I was expecting this one to be sooner too but it wasn't. had my scan & everything fine though so i;m sure you will be fine.

I felt my first around18 weeks and tiny flutters at 18 weeks with this one but nothing stronger til 19-20 weeks. I'm now 25 weeks and baby is moving loads more!

I found out I have anterior placenta again with this baby at my last scan! Like you I wasn't worried as I heard the heartbeat lots

With this pregnancy I didn't feel movements til just before my second scan. I had anterior placenta last time and have it again this time!

Apparently this time although I have anterior placenta it is quite high up. I reckon that's why I've felt movement sooner.... last time I didn't feel anything til after 22 weeks and even then I never used to feel very much. So yep def ask where the placenta is!!!

This is my third pregnancy and I have a normal placenta, and I didn't feel anything til 25 weeks.

As you said you've heard the heartbeat and still have the scan to look forward to.
