Moses Baskets - Pregnancy

Hi all,

I'm just looking into them at the moment and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. Some seem to be so expensive with the stand aswell, are they worth it or are the cheaper ones just as good?

Hi Minieggs, I bought mine in the Mamas and Papas sale for ??40 and got a stand from Mothercare for about ??25, I ended up with a rocking stand and a fixed stand and never used the rocking one because it was rubbish.

I think the are used for such a short period of time, expecially if you have a crib as well that its not worth buying an expensive one.

try ebay! we currently have moses baskets , including stands, coming out of our ears as hubby puts them on ebay. they are new too and wrapped.

I got mine from ebay really cheap. With my first two children I got ones with a rocking stand and have done again this time round as I fojund them really useful for rocking baby to sleep. x

L+N, i really like the look of some in Mamas and Papas, wow ??40 was a bargain for M+P! x

We have borrowed one from a friend, it is a mamas and papas one and really sweet.
Just wanted to say Mamas and Papas have a few outlet places and factory shops that always have cheaper moses baskets, perhaps worth seeing if there is one near you.

we got ours from an NCT sale- we paid ??26 for it including the stand- its a mamas and papas one worth ??120.

I don't think ours has ever been used, its immaculate- def worth checking out sales in your area. We've saved an absolute fortune buying things from these sales.

We got ours in the John Lewis sale - ??19.50 reduced from ??50. It is out of stock on their website, but there was one left in our local John Lewis.

we are not bothering with a moses basket as they don't seem to last long enough so we went for a crib instead. only ??40 from kiddiecare with the mattress.

I agree that clair de lune one looks very nice, thank you. I hadn't heard of that company but free delivery is good. Do you like the free stand? i was going to get a still one but may be convinced if it's good and free!!

mini - what pram are you getting? coz with some of them you can use the carrycot for overnight sleeping (eg Bugaboo)

We still have the one we bought for our eldest who is nearly 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (soz just cant beleive how quick time has flown)
Its was very simular to the one above. Nice a neutral. It was from babiesRus for about 30 quid inc stand. It gr8. Our babies are big (jack 9lb1oz olly 8lb 7oz and both tall) and were only in it for 2 months.
