MIL worries... - Pregnancy

right im going to be blunt, i HATE her. its as simple as that. our baby is due in 17 days now and im dreading her having anything to do with my little boy - which i know isnt really practical seeing as she is my fiances mum...but i cant help the way i feel. does anyone feel the smae way or am i just being an unreasonable bitch??

i'm lucky i did well in the mil department, in fact she looks after chloe whilst i'm at work!! i do feel for you though, is she nasty to you? or overbearing? or just plain annoying? Claire 21 might have some good advice re in laws. Sarah xxx

its not that she is horrible to me, she actually likes me! but she was the worst possible mother imaginable to my fiance and his 2 brothers so i dont want that sort of person around my little boy, also she smokes like a train and has the mouth of a fishwife - i swear but would never do so in front of a child. haha claire21, wait until you get to almost 38 weeks like me, it only gets worse! i even dont like the thought of her holding my child, but cant tell this to my o/h as although she was a bitch to him as a child he forgives very easily and may take offence...

Hi guys My MIL is a nightmare she one of these people who will do nothing for you ar have anything to do with you until it puts her in the spotlight. She did it with our wedding and she'll do it with the baby.

Im with you there girls i HATE my mil she is an interfering old hag!!! I am about to have grandchild no 4 and she is convinced i only "get myself" pregnant to trap her poor unsuspecting son. Coz it really is easy to get yourself pregnant isnt it. She hasnt actually done anything to piss me off lately (maybe cos i havent seen her) but i still feel myself getting stressed when i think about her!

Kimmi you can buy that hand gel that you get on hospital wards, you know the disinfectant stuff? Just casually ask her to rub her stinkin smoke fingers in that stuff before she picks baby up, also get her some face masks so she doesn't breathe all over bub!!!

Kimmi my mil is so fat she won't be able to hold him. When her grand daughter got christened she had to sit at the table and rest the baby and her arms on it - cos her little arms won't go all the way round her big fat body and hold a baby. This is disgusting and slighly off track, but when people are that fat, can they wipe their own arses?

Claire i knew you would have some quality input on mil's but please don't make me laugh as chloe is asleep on me and with all the shaking i'm in danger of waking her up (and really don't want to do that at the mo!)

I take it that s a no then. She is not even 5 foot and she is like a barrel - how can her arms fit, cos they are fat too? She is only 65 but it is like she is disabled cos she can't even do her own shoes up.

haha the hand gel disinfectant sounds like a good idea but what will i do if she wants to have him at her house for the night?! i know she wants to do that but i will be damned if i let her...i couldnt trust her to take good enough care of him. im not a natural worrier but this whole thing worries the hell outta me, i just wish she lived somewhere on the other side of the world so i dont have to think about her. luckily my FIL isnt with my MIL and keeps himself to himself so he isnt going to be interested in the baby anyway!

if she wants to have bubs at her house, just tell her no, you just tell her you are not ready to leave you lo with someone else overnight, you are the mother and it is your decision. Like i said earlier, my mil is great and looks after Chloe during the day but i would never leave her overnight anytime soon, i just couldn't do it
