Sorry for totally gatecrashing this forum but I'm after a bit of advice from you pregnant ladies.

Do any of you have any experience of local anaesthesia during (early) pregnancy? Is it a total no no?

The reason I ask is that I need to have a small procedure on my knee sometime before the end of the year and wondered, if by some small miracle I did fall pregnant before then, what the implications might be. I know that general anaesthesia is considered a bad idea unless absolutely vital, but seem to be coming across conflicting info for local anaesthetics :\?

Any thoughts / advice much appreciated.
