Hi

I'm going to see the pigeon detective tomoz night I'll be 37 weeks pregnant when I asked my friend to babysit she told me that I shouldn't go to a live concert so late in pregnancy and had a go at me!!

Now she didn't give me any real reason just that it would really effect baby if it's to loud??

What do you girls think is this something I shouldn't be doing???

Thanks

i think the main worry i'd have is if there's a lot of people you might get elbowed or something, i have to admit i've never heard of the pigeon detective but i turned down a few offers of going to a concert late in pregnancy because i'd be soooo worried of getting pushed and elbowed etc x

Loud music can cause labour to start (so I have heard) because of this, and like Jenny says worrying about people elbowing you or knocking you, I personally wouldnt consider going. Up to you though! Have a good time if you do.

Who are pigeon detectives? Never heard of them either!!

i got told off midwife not to go and see x factor tour when i was 34 weeks with my daughter, as the loud music can start labour off, and she told me a few stories were it has acually happend, but i went any lol x

hi, I'm no where near 37 weeks yet but I love gigs so asked my MW what she thought...both her and her trainee said they went to see live concerts very late in PG - 36/37 weeks....they said you still need to enjoy yourself but just be aware!!
I think its personal choice xxx

Hiya,
was at a concert this week at 26 weeks and think that will be my last of the pregnancy. Think its personal choice but I was so tired by the end and a bit nervous with the crowd. when its busy, people just push and dont notice the bump.
guess it depends on the venue too and how easy it is to get there, if there's seats (how old do I sound...) and if you think there will be space if you need air. some venues I would be ok with whereas more club type places I know I cant handle from now in.

up to you though.

halle, i'll think you'll be fine, people i know friends and myself have been to concerts late in pg, just stand back away from the crowds etc and drink alot of water. ur baby will hear the music but it wont affect ur LO, speak to ur midwife if u dnt feel right but u will be, xx

Thanks girls my main concern is the noise for lo as the venue is the BIC in Bournemouth and is huge I won't be crown surfing or attempting to get close to the stage!

There is always loads of space around the outside of the room, we'll be going just for the band not the support acts so I shouldn't get to tired and will be taking lots of water!!

Thanks alot girls fingers crossed for a good night!
Emma
