I tested positive exactly four weeks after my miscarriage even though they told me to wait up to six weeks for my first period. I don't know why i tested myself before the six weeks were up I guess i just got inpatient. Although my cycle before miscarriage was a very regular 26-28 days between once i got depo-provera out of my system. I think i just new and also i would have expected my period by then.

I am now just over 20 weeks got my next scan on tuesday and hope everything is fine this time.

good luck with yours too.

Hi cait,
I tested positive after 5 weeks. No period either. We were obviously naughty as we conceived 2 weeks after D&C. We were told to wait until after first period, but I think this is for dating reasons.
Good Luck xx

Hiya Cait,

Just thought i'd pop by and add my two cents worth
I had a miscarriage followed by a D&C on the 13th August this year, the midwife phoned me up with the results of the histology(examination of d&c contents) and said they found no product of conception, so to be on the safe side to make sure they hadn't left any product behind i was to do a home pregnancy test. That came back positive..... strong positive! That was only 4 weeks after the d&c, she sent me for 2 consecutive blood tests 48hrs apart to see if my hormone levels were rising or falling. low and behold, they were doubling.

They sent me for a scan last week, they saw a gestastional sac and yolk sac, i have another scan next Thursday(4th oct) I'm so hoping everything has a happy ending this time around.

Hi everyone

Just thought I would leave a comment,

I has a m/s at beginning of jan this year followed by a d&c, we went for out 12 week scan only to be told that there was no baby there. my partner and i then found out on 25th Feb this year that we were expecting another baby, I am due 29th October and really cant wait, this last few weeks are really starting to drag, although I have had no problems this time round I have worried constantly, I have tried reassuring myself that everything is fine but it's still a constant worry!
I hope everything goes ok for you all!

I had sore breasts, but just put that down to thinking i was due on! The the symptoms hit me hard, i have all day sickness now, nipples that feel like they have been grated(sorry for the detail !) & being taken over by raging hormones.

i've just recently had a misscariage about a week ago,
Haven't a clue what happend but i knew I was not to blame obviously the pregnancy was not progressing,
i'd really like to try for another with my husband!
Am I being really selfish to be thinking about another baby so soon?
Docs say to wait till you have had a proper period should I?
I know i'm a really fertile person anyway as I currently have 4 children under 5 yrs and youngest being 8 and a half months.

What do you ladies think I should do ??? x x x:\?

Hello Everyone,
I was reading about all your experiences and it has filled me with a sense of hope. My baby boy was born yesterday at 4 months. I went in for a managed miscarriage as there was no way he would survive much longer. I have been feeling that it is useless trying again and I'm almost a failure but listening to all your happy endings has made me feel that me and my partner will try again, and there is something positive coming it's way.
Thank you all xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I mc in April and managed to fall pregnant straight away. I had negative test around a week later as they told me to check my hormones were going down. 4 weeks after mc i tested with cbd and got bfp. I had stronger symptoms this time round, much more nausea.
I'm now 26 weeks.

I MCd in May last year and fell pg again in the July so it really can happen very quickly indeed. I waited until we had a negative pg test before we starting TTC again, as I just wanted to be able to have some idea/control over dates etc. I had 1 period which was, as it turned out, to be my LMP.

The good thing was that having been pg before, I knew I was pg this time, before AF was due. I still waited before testing but I definitely knew the difference between pre period cramps and the initial stretching. Good Luck

a bit different for me. we lost our bean at 6 +2 weeks and didnt want to conceive again straight away as i took it really badly and wasnt ready emotionally. then i had an unrelated op, and after that my cycles went to 45 - 62 days long. we eventually conceived again on my EDD of the lost bean. baby is due in 3 weeks!

calleigh and bump. fully cooked, just simmering 37+3

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

with my 1st mc it ended at 8 weeks and I caught again 2 weeks after went on to have a healthy DS. With my 2nd mc we waited til after AF and it didn't take long to catch again only a couple of weeks if I remeber rightly and again went on to have a health DS.
To be honest I was scared when I found out I was pg this time as I'd had DD then MC then DS1 then MC then DS2 so thought for sure that this one would end as MC (no logic I know but I just couldn't help thinking like that) am now 35+1 and finally feel relaxed.
Kx

There was a little girl, who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was very, very good, but when she was bad she was horrid.
