just found out i have gestational diabetes, i have an appointment at the hospital next week,bit nervous as i dont know what to expect! I have researched it on the internet, but just wondered if anyone has had this, experiencing this, or had has this before! always read horror stories xxx

I am being tested for this in a few weeks time cause my baby is a little larger than he should be. Hope you get on ok, apparently they just talk to you about your diet and changing it. Hope it goes ok x x

I posted about this in March 09 (I was having the test) and got some lovely responses from some ladies who had it and were managing it fine, so it definetly doesn't have to mean a horror story. Just a bit more effort on your part. Some of the ladies said that they also gained very little weight themselvs, as a result of paying such attention to what they were eating, which made it very easy to get back in shape after! Ally x
