Had a midwife appointment today and was told babys head was 3/5 engaged, was just wandering how long is it likely to be fully engaged from here? and how long after that could labour start?

my babys head was engaged fully from 34 weeks and I didnt go into labour til 42 weeks! But everyone is different, my friends baby's head didn't engage fully til a few days before she was due and she was a week late, woundlt worry if I was you, to be honest I'd say it was better if the head wasnt engaged cos the longer its engaged the more pain your in with the baby pushing down on your pelvis!

My babys head was fully enagaged from 36 weeks and i didnt go into labout till 41 weeks x x x

Oh well at least things are going in the right direction, really hope I dont go over, im so impatient I want baby now. :lol:

hi kate, no1 can really tell you how long its going to be untill baby is fully engaged, however i can tell tell you it took 5 weeks for my baby to engage 3/5 and its after 2 weeks baby was still 3/5. all i can say is hope everything goes ok and good luck hun. katie 38wks+2 xx
