you're fine to have fillings if you are happy too, and depending on the fillings, you don't always need an injection. You should not have ANY xrays whilst pregnant though, and the dentist should know this.

Hi

I had a filling done when I was 25 weeks pregnant. They are fine to use Lignocaine or Lidocaine (or the equivalent) in the injection - don't know if I've spelt those right!!!! I was completely fine - just had a sore gum. If you're really worried, you could ask if it could wait until you've given birth...

When I was first pregnant they refused to give me any treatment including fillings and told me to wait til I'd had the baby, but I'm not sure whether thats because I only had a few weeks to go? I'm supposed to be going for a filling 2moro and preg for 2nd time (maybe if this light bleeding stops!) so will ask them tomorrow. x

hi
im a dental nurse, it is ok to have fillings (better to have a white one than a silver one)as silver ones contain mercury. the injections are fine but dont have any x-rays.
