Cravings - Pregnancy

Anyone experienced or having really strange cravings (pica). I don't have the craving to eat them but I am obsessed with certain smells!!
Everyone thinks I'm really strange but I love the smell of of a certain air freshner (not the spray ones, the scented glass ones) & I cant't get enough of the warm air smell that comes from the hoover - needless to say I just want to hoover everything at the minute!!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!! I was obssessed OBSSESSED with the smell of peaches! Its calmed now, but I actually got a feeling of satisfaction and pleasure when i sniffed them! Now I love the smell of Flash floor cleaner, and washing up liquid all foamy on a hot sponge. No food cravings tho!

I have desperate desires for marmite. Whilst i'm waiting for my toast i stick my finger in the pot because I can't wait once my mind is made up....Andd yes i know that's gross! My mum nearly ate cat food when pregnant with me so i think i got off quite lightly!

Thought it was only me!!! I have been feeling and being sick all day for only about a week and the smell of fresh shower gel and cleaning products is the only thing that seems to make me fel slightly better. Even took a bottle of shower gel in the car yesterday!!!

hi when i was pregnant with my first i had a craving for mcdonalds fries dipped in strawberry milkshake for my second i liked the smell of toilet cleaner lol

Oooh me too! I thought it was just me, all the books seem to say loads about food cravings, of which I have had none, but none of them mention suddenly loving weird smells! My favourites are my shoe cupboard at home - a sort of plastic/leather mix! and the stairwell at my work which is an old building sort of smell. Glad to know i'm not alone!

I wonder if there is a reason we want to smell cleaning prducts then? I really didnt think anyone would get that too. Im actally desperatly looking forward to monday when I get paid, I will be up with the lark to go down to Sainsbury's and but various amounts of cleaner. How odd!!!
