Hi Lisa I had nausea for the first 13 weeks of pregnancy, was never actually sick but like you it was all day, everyday. When i ate it was better but the sicky feeling soon returned. I found eating rennies helped and drinking ginger and lemon tea. Also gingernut biscuits can help in some cases. This is my 3rd child and it's been the only one i have had nausea with.... my other 2 are boys!! I am now 18+2 wks. I hope you find something to ease your discomfort and you start to enjoy your pregnancy. Take care. Nic

Hi lisa i felt sick all the time untill i was about 30 weeks, i tried ginger, dry foods, herbal tea's and nothing worked for me. If you try most stuff that people suggest fingers crossed you find one that works :\)

travel sickness bands also help it says on the box that they work for pregnancy too i used them with my last pregnancy but crisps always help me pluss i craved them like mad! make sure you drink plenty to as not drinking enough can make it worse too!

For some people nothing works im afraid. (Like me) All the things the others have been saying. I gave the travel bands ago not sure if they worked or not. Think it's all psychological. I was actually sick tho so that kind of helped the nausea for an hour or so at a time and then it would return. Afraid it's just somehting you have to put up with. For the lucky ones it goes away about 13 weeks, so hopefully that will be you x

I must be abnormal...I'm 7 weeks and not feeling very sickly at all....although the tiredness and the aches and pains more than compensate!! I do feel a bit funny when going to bed though and when I wake up so I drink ginger ale before bed and one of those innocent smoothies first thing

hi all.the sick ness is really dibilitating, isn't it. i am 23 weeks pregnant with my 5th baby and still being sick but just in the mornings though now.
for the first 12-13 weeks i lived on lemonade, bitterlemon, pear drops to suck on and sandwiches. i couldn't stand anything hot to eat. having something to eat before you get out of bed doesn't always help either like the midwives say it does. if you are going to be sick, you will be sick no matter what you do to try to stop it. but the good news is that it doesn't last forever. those travel sickness bands are good as well that you wear on your wrists.
good luck. hope all goes ok for you.xx

Hi Lisa, I felt contstantly sick for the first few weeks, although Iwas only ever sick first thing in the morning. I found that ginger and lemon tea helped and travel sickness bands were great, the other thing I did was eat and drink constantly! Only things like boiled sweets etc and water but it really helped. Hope you feel better soon, my sickness eased at about ten weeks, so hopefully you've not much longer to go! Kerry

Hi
I am 8 weeks tomorrow and also feel sick in the mornings and evenings but haven't actually been sick. I find an orange helps and also cleaning my teeth and swilling my mouth in very cold water (but not drinking it). I know how you feel about NOT feeling sick. If I wake up in the morning and DON'T feel sick I get a little worried. What are we like ! I thought we were meant to enjoy this pregnancy thing ! It just makes me a paranoid wreck ! Just keep smiling and I am loving this chat room, it makes me feel so much better
Happy pregnancy
Tracey

Nicola B ... Im just over 8 weeks. I found out at 5 weeks that i was pregnant and the reason i knew was the 5am wake up call of running to the toilet in fear of throwing up everywhere as i felt that sick....this feeling past after a few days..but now im awful!

All day everyday i feel constantly sick (without actually being sick), looking at food , smelling food even the thought of eating makes me sick. All i can seem to stomach is cereal with a little bit of milk and even thats a struggle. But it is horrible, i couldnt even walk around sainsburys yesterday,  i feel pathetic.

Oh well i am hoping it will pass, and as i read on a forum last week, as long as the sickness is still there you know everythings ok.

Try not to be miserable i know its hard, but chin up, it will pass and youll be ok x

My wife is coming up to eight weeks and for the last fortnight has felt sick morning, day and night. We have tried travel bands, ginger tea, rich tea biscuits, toast, water, hot water, boiled sweets, basically the entire 'morning sickness' sympton relief menu but nothing has worked.

It's getting to the point where my wife is in bed most of the time and finds it very hard to get up, move around, go to work etc etc, is there anything else that anyone can suggest? - tablets for us both are a no no, but my wife's quality of life at the moment is being consumed by nausea, with not much room for the 'happy feeling'.

A concerned husband.

Hi Daddy to be
I am on my second pregnancy with terrible nausea. It's an awful debilitating condition that just strikes some women down more than others! I have been signed off work and also on medication as its the only way I can cope.
Fizzy drinks help me and although eating is not a pleasant thought keeping something in her stomach is important.
Encourage your wife to see her GP as resting and not been at work is something
that might help. She may just need to spend a few weeks in bed!!

Also try this website as I found it helpful.

Taking medication is does not carry the risk ls you may be afraid of and this website explains it well.

Good luck!
