chicken pox in pregnancey

hi, I am 18 weeks pregnant and have pickit up chicken pox.
just wonderd has any other pregnanat ladies cault chicken pox walst being pregnant ??
im a bit worried and after some advice please. :?

not quite sure tbh, my daughter had chicken pox when i was about 8 weeks gone and it didnt effect me as i had chicken pox as a child x speak to ur doc as im not sure of or if any risks xxxx

I would ring your GP for reassurance and they will probably keep an eye on you. It does depend on the stage you are at. Don't read about it though on the Internet as you would drive yourself mad. Make sure you talk to your GP first.

Apparently chicken pox in pregnancy is most concerning in the 1st or 3rd trimesters. So if you're 18 weeks there is less of an issue. I read up \ asked about it as my son had chicken pox go round his nursery when I was about 22 weeks. Check with your midwife to put your mind at rest xx

getting chicken pox at 18 weeks is fine, its in the first 12 weeks and last 6 weeks that it causes concern. x

I had chicken pox a few weeks ago,having had it as a child (how unlucky am I) Dr told me that before 20 weeks there is a tiny risk to baby, so would try not to worry hun x he did take blood from me to check my immunity to chicken pox so might be worth giving your dr a phone x
