brown discharge in early pregnancy

did any1 have brown discharge in early pregnancy? i'm only 4/5 weeks and have had some in my knickers for the last 2 days, its not a lot but it does have me concerned that something will go wrong?! i've been to the doc and he said some women do experience this i just wondered if any1 on here had?!

Yes, it absolutely plagued me for almost the whole first trimester! Sometimes I had red blood but usually brown discharge. Had to have 2 early scans but everything was fine and no-one mentioned what caused it, it was just 'normal'. I have to admit though it made the first 12 weeks very nerve-wracking.

Am now 20+1 with little boy and it's all going well. Congratulations on your pregnancy btw, is this your second? x x

oh thank god i've been imagining all kinds if things!

congrats on ur babyboy!! we had the same problem asu about the sonographer not being sure what sex bub was she said i think i see a hamburger so itsa girl then said ooooh not sure actually- i'd say play it safe and go neutral! xxx

Hiya, i had this too and was told it could be implantation bleed or because my missed period was due then! Got an early scan from it anyway and saw heartbeat at 6wks! This is my 3rd pregnancy and i dont remember this happening with either of my others! Good luck with everything. By the way your little girl is a real cutie! Is she excited or are you waiting to tell her?

thats good to know, doc was really nice offered to see me fri for extra reassurance, and offered an early scan nearer the 6 week mark.

Thank you i think so to but i'm biased! she kind of knows if u ask her wats in mummies tummy she'll tell u baby and tells baby i ruv u! daddy intoduced this thou! how old r ur other 2 bubs?

Mine arent babies anymore! One is 14 and the other is 6! My 6 yr old wants a boy he can call Steve after Steve Irwin!!! Has blatantly said "no girl is coming in my room". Hes more excited bout Xmas than a baby but my 14 yr old is forever asking "you ok?"
11/12/2007 at 16:55
Nope there still bubs! thats really sweetof ur eldest carin so much!!!
this is going to sound odd but did u worry that people wouldn't fuss so much about ur 1st when u had 2nd, i don't want her to feel left out or unloved cause i love her so much and i would hate her to feel second best to anything or 1 xxx

I did worry yeah! We had a prezzie ready for the eldest at the hospital and told him the baby bought it for him. Most people were really really good though and paid eldest just as much attention as they did the baby. You can get some amazing "big sis" stuff now. A lot of close friends and family got my eldest "big bruv" stuff and he loved it and felt really special!

Because there is an 8 yr gap between them I chose to bottle feed so my eldest could become really involved but even if you breastfeed you can still cuddle that little cutie at the same time. She looks like she will be a mini-mum!!!

honestly i think she's gonna be better than me she's loves her "babies"and is always rocking them to sleep and feeding them.

i breast fed her and would like to do the same for the new one but thats a good idea to try and cuddle both or maybe alternate feeds so that she can help me one bottle etc.

i hope every1 will make a fuss of her and i'm def gonna look out for some big sis bits nearer the time might even get her a little thing for xmas cause have seen one saying i'm going to be a big sis. xxxxxxxxx

If you are worried then casually mention it to people!

Sounds like someones gonna fight you for the babies attention! I remember on my little ones 1st new year - my eldest woke him up at 5 to 12 to see the new year in with us! It then took me til 4 to get him back to sleep!!!! Sounds like you might have the same "joys" It also sounds like you will have no choice but to let her be involved (maybe except after seeing her 1st nappy lol). Dont think you will have any worries xxx

lol don't u love kids was very sweet but......

i think she's gonna be great, i'm happy to let her be inolved and knowing how my miss mai is she'l get bored quickly anyway!
