Hello all,

My name is Nicole. I found out I was pregant in total surprise on the pill on 10/21/11. I started bleeding on the 24th-30th and doctors explained I had naturally miscarried. ( I personally think the pill made it so the fetus did not form correctly).

Anyways ,

I am starting to feel very nausea, appetite increased, boobs tender and I sort of feel like my belly is expanding inside.. I took 2 tests and both came out positive. Could I possibly be pregnant again?? And how far along would I be?? How do you determine this after miscarriage with no period in between?

Hi, first of all so sorry to hear about yourr miscarriage. When you went to docs did they arrange any scans to confirm if you had miscarried? It's just that myself and others I know who have miscarried have had to have scans to confirm that all of the pregnancy had gone and then I had to have blood tests for the next couple of weeks as well - this was also to make sure that my pregnancy hormone levels decreased. Am just wondering if there is any chance that you didn't actually miscarry - sorry if this sounds patronising in any way (it's not meant to!). However I have been told that us ladies are usually very fertile immediately after a miscarriage so maybe you are pregnant again :?

Hi, so sorry to hear of your loss. I had a similar experience, I mc on 7th August and still tested positive on hpt in early september. A blood test will determine you level of hcg, mine was 30, so very very low and almost negative. if yours is high it will indicate pregnancy. perhaps see if your doc will do a blood test to confirm whats going on? xxx

Thank you both!! I did have blood tests done the week that I was bleeding every 2 days and my levels were decreasing.. I went to the docs on the the 7th of November and she only told me to come back on the 28th of November. I was just wondering if its possible to become preggo so early after mc, because my body feels so wierd, and I know something is going on.. I guess I will have to wait it out and find out then. Hi, sorry to hear about your mc. I had a mc in September stopped bleeding about the 15 sept, I'm now 8 wks pregnant with 'no' period in-between. Would be worth getting your levels checked to see what's going on. Would be amazing for you if you are but try not to build your hopes up too much just incase it's your hormones playing tricks on you. X

It is highly likely to become pregnant right after a miscarriage but don't think you are in the clear. Just be careful and listen to your doctor because it could turn into higher risks.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I am going through the same thing. I have a delayed miscarriage and so had a D&C on the 17th november but now 3 weeks later I have a positive pregnancy result, with no period in between. I am waiting to see my gp for some bloodtests to confirm, however I do believe this is a new pregnancy as I have all the symptoms again.
