Ok so my history is mc sept 10 @ 8 weeks then mc apr 11 @ 9 weeks!! am currently 11 weeks and woke up 2 days in a row with period type aches in lower belly an back! im still being sick but sore boobs disappeared 2 ish weeks ago!

im in such a panic i just wanna cry =( phoned midwife and she said to take it easy cant get a scan unless im bleeding! my 12 week scan is on the 19th thinking of hiding in bed till then (a little hard with a 3 yr old)

anyone have any advice for me?

HI Hayley, so sorry to read this. Can you afford a private scan to put your mind at rest? I went a few weeks ago to reassure myself - and the prices ranged from about ??50 to ??150. I just googled 'private pregnancy scan' and found quite a few different places in my area.

Hi Hayley

I'm so sorry to read your post but please don't think the worst. You've had no bleeding which is a good sign and discomfort could just be stretching of muscles. With your history I am surprised you haven't had an early scan anyway. Are you Lowestoft, suffolk, i think you were as I was in gt yarmouth which is close to you. Unfortunatley I did m/c a week ago but the JPH were brilliant. Have you rung the EPAU directly & asked for a private scan? x

I would ring the epu directly. With your history they should be scanning you without hesitation. I'm sure everything will be fine but after what you have been through you must be worried sick. If u get no satisfaction then like as already been suggested, a private scan could be worth considering. Your tummy cramps will just be your body making room, and do symptoms like sore boobs and sickness not tend to fade at about 11 weeks or so. I can't believe they are making you wait....bloody awful. I should phone the epu and see if they can reassure you. I understand how you feel as I had some bleeding at eight weeks and didnt feel pregnant anymore. I was booked in for a scan, but was totally convinced that it would be bad news again. However, there was a small blob with a tiny heartbeat. I'm now 18 weeks and my little girl is growing well. So I will keep everything crossed that everything is ok.

Thankyou for the replies! I have considered a Private scan but been trying to hold out a little longer as my Fiance is working away and my mum is on holiday! Yes the EPAU at James Paget are fantastic and when i phoned them they were happy to see me if i got referred by my midwife! When i phoned her she just said 'put your feet up' and 'your not bleeding so you will be fine' shes a lovely lady but i cant help feeling fobbed off!

Im going to try and just rest until O/H gets home from work Saturday night then make some sort of decision =/
If i get any spotting/bleeding i will go straight to A an E...

Does anyone have any idea what the aches might be? I thought stretching pains too as i had them around 6 weeks.

I am in the same boat as you. I had 2 mmc and I am pregnant again, unfortunately its my 2nd day without any pregnancy symptoms and pain on my right side :cry:
My GP tried to book for early scan, but I have been told, that government not funding any more early scans and doesnt matter what history you have. I was even more upset, that now we need to wait till 12 weeks scan or to lay what I have got some bleeding :evil:
Hope and pray, that everything will be ok for our little beans :roll: Take care xx

I'm feeling a little better today woke up with sharp belly pain but that subsided after I went to the bathroom sorry tmi... Am really sick today my little girl witnessed me throwing up this morning and started to cry gosh I felt awful! It totally sucks about the early scans Hun I really hope everything is ok for you xxx

Call epu and say you had some spotting, they'll never know and you'll get a scan, job done. Bit devious but really they should be giving you one early anyway. I wouldn't hesitate to do that if I were in your position. Sounds like all is fine though!

Hi hun, I would get checked out if I were you. This isnt to scare you but I had bad pains when I was 9.5 weeks pregnant, went for my 12 week scan and had had mmc again, it had stopped growing at 8 weeks. I sort of knew as had some bleeding couple of days before scan. Worrying about it does not help at all and given your history they should be looking after you a lot better! Like previous lady said just say you have had some bleeding, its not like you just want a scan, you are worried! On a positive I lost my pregnancy symptons more or less so that fact you are being sick is good!! Good luck xx

hi try not to worrie i know its hard i had a MC november 2010 and im 8weeks 5day now very scared lol and i was getting very bad period pains and i had a blood clot and got sent for a scan and everything was perfect everyone is different i know but my midwife siad its just everthing getting bigger for the baby you should ring the early pregnancy unit up they might ask you to go up

That's not good enough if you have a one-sided pain. I lost my right tube due to ectopic pregnancy. If it get's worse please go to A&E x

Turned out to be trapped wind and constipation =/ how embarrassing!! My GP an midwife still wouldn't send me for a scan which i was angry about also EPU would only see me if i was referred by the midwife or GP!! I thought i would have been cared for better given my past but obviously not =( i do have my 12 week scan on Monday tho so fingers crossed =) an the sickness is terrible still x

I have got letter from my midwife inviting me into 1st appt in 2 weeks...I found this totally stupid..Are they cant see in my history, that I had two mmc????? Why I need this?? I think, its more important to have scan and to make sure, that pregnancy is progressing.
