Horse riding?

Hiya.
I'm just back on here. I was on a while ago, disappeared for a while and now I'm back. Got my (unexpected) BFP on Saturday! Haven't been to the docs yet, but am booking an appointment asap.
Had a very early miscarriage last time I was pregnant, and am a bit worried about it this time. I go horse-riding once a week. Now I read somewhere that this was likely to cause early MC, and then read somewhere else that it wouldn't. Anyone any advice/ideas about this? I went this Sunday past, and didn't seem to have affected me at all, despite bumping about all over the place.

Help!

Hi, GC but wanted to say i rode throughout my first pregnancy until 22 weeks and my MW was competely happy with it (she had her own horses so she really actually knew what she was talking about!). I was never warned about it causing miscarriage, just the usual warnings about falling off, not jumping etc.

Good luck xxx

a while back there was a big post in the pregnancy forum by people riding and chatting about it. may have been about 6months ago tho. you might be able to search for it?

Hey! I did horseriding. I had 1 mc two years ago and this time I horserode weeks 11 and 12 but I am a beginner. I asked the mw and she said as long as it was a gentle ride it would be fine, she said no show jumping lol. Also be careful not to fall off for obvious reasons xx speak to your mw mine gave me loads of really good advice xx

Eek! No showjumping?! I've been jumping these past couple of weeks, and it's never a very gentle ride, as the horse is fond of bucking and throwing herself about! Oh dear, Will talk to the docs on Tuesday and the MW when I get one!

Thanks for your replies ladies
