Afternoon ladies

Please please help me, someone smack me or give me some really hard, true and face slapping truths - I am driving myself absolutely crazy thinking about being broody etc. - and we aren't even trying yet!!!!

It's still a few months until I can even go off the pill but I CONSTANTLY think about how it would be lovely to be trying now, I look at our second room and try to figure out how to fit the cotbed and changing table it, I wish I could buy a babydam now cos I think they're the coolest invention ever... I even took a test the other day 'because my period was really light' (ok I mean REALLY light and I wanted to check i wasn't one in a miliion)

I want to switch these thoughts off until I can do something with them but they won't go awayyyyyyyyyy....

Somebody help please?

Others are like this too and I'm not the only one??

livnick - have you bought lots of babyclothes or just the 'one day when i have a baby i'll let it wear this' outfit??

luckily im TTC, but as a lot of the girls can vouch (sp?) for me that i was as bad as u if not worse! i already have 6 sleepsuits, 2 hats, some newbie socks and a gorgeous me to u bear romper suit thing!

i know what u mean, its like an itch! i always felt like and elastic band that was being streched really far and isnt allowed to ping back!! its like a physical tension!!

it will pass, but try and avoid coming on here 24/7 (i did!) reading baby mags all the time and watching birth programs all the time. i did, and i was in a right state!!

just chill lady! xxx

Susiee, I've just got that one thing at the moment but I reckon it's a slippery slope!! arghhhhh.

I honestly am exactly the same, it's awful, i get baby mags, am on here all the time. I do exactly what gracie19 just warned against doing!!! oops

We can be broody together!

Hi livnick and gracie19 - wow, I really can't believe other people are actually like me too and this is normal behaviour - what a relief.
I scare myself though cos I think about it so much but then sometimes I think - you want it so badly but when the time comes will you wish you'd waited a bit longer - or realise you actually can't cope and it's not a lovely and rosey as you thought - but that's just part of it I suppose?
At 31 I'm not exactly being silly about it but funnily enough, I STILL feel like I'm playing 'doll' and not old enough to be a parent !!

I've got loads of bits too, went mad when we started trying and when I was pregnant, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be so all my stuff is hidden in the understairs cupboard... Bugaboo Gecko, steriliser, bedding, baby clothes, bath, changing mat, toys, teddy's, play gym, rocking cradle! TBH we've got a lot of it, just need cot, some more bedding and a carseat really, plus a few lovely accessories for my Bugaboo.

Wish I'd waited a little it was hard hiding it all after the MMC but will be able to put more money aside now during my next pregnancy! x
