hi i dont think ive ever posted on this one before, mostly on "pregnancy", but i also have a 6 year old girl, and a 2.5yr old boy.

I am hoping someone can help me with how to answer the questions I am being asked by my daughter.

She obviously understands that the baby is inside me, she has herself suggested that God put the baby there...so i have avoided the whole how did baby get in my tummy questions...BUT...

she has been asking alot about how the baby gets out.

Yesterday she asked how the baby gets out and I said a doctor gets it out...now she wasnt happy with this and wanted more detail...has anyone already gone through this with their children and what did you say??

I really dont want to tell her the exact truth becasue i dont think she is ready. On the whole she is pretty unshockable and quite accepting of things, but this is one thing i would like to keep from her for a while longer.

Can anyone help???

thanks, Laura

im sorry to tell you but i think they start the sex and relationship education soon! my daughter is 5 almost 6 and in year 1 and they start theirs after easter and unless you ask for them not to attend the class (which you are more than in your rights to do) im afraid she will soon find out.
my daughter hasnt asked yet but she kinda knows as she told me about a lamb giving birth. could you show her something like that to do with animals?? that way the only reallyu remember the cute lamb at the end!

hiya my daughters almost 6 and was asking this aswell i just told her they cut ur stomach as my mum has showed her the scar of where i was born so it seemed like a gd idea lol the only down side was i had to show her an actuall c section as she wasnt happy as she didnt really understand but now does after seeing the video ,
p.s my daughter had the sex ed in april its not really like sex ed all the kids had to do was use the proper names for there bits and talked about feelings so dont worry about that too much
