Hi everybody,

Have finally managed to get a minute to pop on and say hi, i really dont know where the last 2weeks have gone. Hubby goes back to work tomorrow and im a little nervous about how im going to cope but i suppose (hopefully) we will fall into a routine soon enough. My lo is getting on just great and we have managed to bf up till now, still just taking one day at a time but hoping to carry on. We are getting sleep here and there but im afraid im not managing to sleep much during the day as dd1 puts a stop to that.

Hope everyone else is well and getting on ok. Oh and just wandering if you can let me know how you all got on when hubby went back to work.xxx

Hey angel,
Glad to hear you're ok and congrats on the birth of your LO. I was lucky enough to have my mum help me out after hubby went back to work, although he was only off for a week and I did have a c sec.

Personally, I found the first few weeks MUCH more tiring than I do now, (he's 4 weeks today) since last week I've not even felt the need for a sleep during the day as me and LO are going to bed at around 9.30pm, but it did take us til the end of week 3 to get into that routine. We only moved house in September so I think a lot of my stress and tiredness was down to having an upside-down house and not knowing where anything was!!
Hats off to you having another lo running around tho, I'm not sure I could cope with another one as well. How old is your dd?

Hi Angel. Congratulations and good to see you over here!

I did struggle a bit when OH went back to work but not really with the LO side of things. More that I had a csec and there was alot of things I couldn't do. I found looking after LO much less stressful than I imagined and have managed to get a few daytime naps in. The only thing I found hard was the adult interaction!! With being almost housebound and OH working looooonnnggg hours it can get a bit much just being with a baby all day that doesn't talk back lol! Although, you've done it before so I am sure you will be fine!

I've only been home a day but trying to establish some sort of routine with feeding, sleeping and a toddler. My mums here until fri morn, then my husband is off the next 2 weeks bar 2 days. I hope to establish some sort of routine with Henrys feeding to time it before meal times etc.

One problem I know Im going to have this wk will be when my mum goes home as she will be here for nearly 2 weeks. Everything will be granny granny granny! After a week without afternoon naps or short naps where its obvious she has been over tired, she had one today. However I lost track of time and she became overactive and now currently trying to get her to sleep!

Need to start right times down so I can get more organised. Im interested to know how you get on with a toddler in the house....

Well its 2.30pm and so far so good. i managed to get us all up and out for the nursery run this morning so quite proud of myself, lol. Even managed a little housework, luckily not much to do as hubby has surpassed himself this last 2weeks and been so great (not like him usually, lol).

km dd is nearly 4 so she at nursery in the morning which def helps things and to be honest i feel she has been better today as she hasnt got me and hubby so seems to be settling into a better routine.

Snugglenush i agree about the adult conversaton its a bit draining not having much, i the same coping ok with baby its all the other stuff that's not getting done but i promised myself i wouldnt do too much today and just take it a bit at a time, seems ok so far.

joey, im def no expert as its my first day,lol but i found giving myself a bit of extra time this morning helped and i ironed the clothes and stuff last night just to take the stress off this morning. I also changed and dressed baby when she was up for her early feed that way i was able just to put her into her snowsuit and into the pram just before we left and fed her when we came back. First day ok, will let you know if it lasts, lol.xx
